The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Beim LEHLE STEREO VOLUME wird der Hall-Sensor aus deutscher Produktion auf den eingebauten Magneten und den Regelweg des Pedals exakt kalibriert. Das Pedal bewegt nur den Magneten; dessen Abstand wird vom Hall-Sensor gemessen, der dann einen VCA ansteuert.
Der hochwertige Blackmer® Stereo-VCA (= Voltage Controlled Amplifier, also Spannungsgesteuerter Verstärker) aus den USA ersetzt hier das mechanische Potentiometer.

The LEHLE STEREO VOLUME is a wear-free volume pedal that is equipped with a very precise magnetic sensor. This sensor uses the Hall effect, named after Edwin Hall, to measure the strength of magnetic fields. In the LEHLE STEREO VOLUME, the German-made Hall sensor is precisely calibrated to the built-in magnet and the control range of the pedal. The pedal only moves the magnet; its distance is measured by the Hall sensor, which then controls a VCA.

Edward Van Halen's Gitarrensound auf dem Debüt Album von1978 katapultierte ihn schlagartig in dem Olymp des Rock und selbst nach mehr als 25 Jahren hat die Gitarrenarbeit auf diesem Album nichts von ihrer Faszination eingebüßt. Den unglaublichen Sound, den EVH auf dieser Platte kreierte, gehört zu den absoluten Meilensteinen des Rock und ein wichtiger Bestandteil dieses Sounds war von vornherein der MXR Phase 90. Der Phase 90 trug maßgeblich zu den zeitlosen Gitarrensounds von “Eruption,“ “Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love,“ “On Fire,“ und “Atomic Punk“, sowie vieler anderer klassischer Van Halen Stücke bei. Entstanden aus einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen Eddie Van Halen und Jim Dunlop ist der EVH 90 eine komplett neu designte Version des legendären Phase 90. Der EVH 90 zeigt genau die gleichen räumlichen Klangverwirbelungen und hypnotischen Phasenverschiebungen, die den Phase 90 so berühmt machten. Als neues Feature besitzt der EVH 90 den Script-Schalter, der es ermöglicht, zwischen dem Vintage 'Script Logo' und dem moderneren, aggressiveren 'Block Logo' Phasersound zu wählen. The "silkscreen" version refers to a specific batch without the laser-cutout Type O Negative logo, instead featuring a screen-printed green logo. Über den Attack-Regler des CS-3 legst du fest, wie schnell die Schaltung diese Anpassung vornimmt. Durch das Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn bleiben Saitenanschläge stärker erhalten und sorgen für einen knackigeren, perkussiven Klang. Je mehr du den Regler gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehst, desto mehr werden die Signalspitzen abgesenkt. Der Sustain-Regler steuert die Stärke der Kompression und sorgt für einen straffen Sound und ein natürliches Sustain ohne Verzerrungen.
Das CS-3 basiert auf einer leistungsfähigen VCA-Schaltung, die eine stabile und gleichmäßige Kompression mit minimalem Grundrauschen ermöglicht. Mit seinem charakteristischen, ausgewogenen Ansprech- und Kompressionsverhalten sorgt das Pedal für einen transparenten Klang über alle Spielstile hinweg. Mit dem Tone-Regler wird das CS-3 noch vielseitiger. Hierüber kontrollierst du den EQ des komprimierten Signals. Stärkere Einstellungen betonen die hohen Frequenzen und für einen schärferen, schneidenden Sound – perfekt für glockenklare Arpeggi, funkige Rhythmen und Passagen, die besonders herausstechen sollen. Je mehr du den Regler zurückdrehst, desto softer werden die Höhen, was einen warmen, weicheren Sound erzeugt, der sich besonders für Genre wie Jazz und Neo Soul eignet. Ganz egal, ob du eine Extraportion Biss oder Samt benötigst – mit dem CS-3 kannst du deinen Sound flexibel an deine Musik anpassen.

Compression evens out volume differences by lowering loud sounds and raising quiet ones. The CS-3's Attack knob lets you set how quickly the circuit makes this adjustment. Turning it clockwise preserves string attacks more strongly and creates a crisper, more percussive sound. The more you turn the knob counterclockwise, the more the signal peaks are reduced. The sustain knob controls the strength of the compression and ensures a tight sound and natural sustain without distortion.

The Mooer Preamp Live can be used instead of the 2 tube preamps, just change plugs on the mod 2 (which I was not allowed to add to this configuration since this is not a Rockboard ;-).
