Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was not only the world’s first chorus effect pedal, but also the very first BOSS pedal. Three years later, this inventive new sound was squeezed into the blue CE-2 Chorus, and chorus pedals have remained in the compact lineup ever since. Four decades on, the spacious modulated tone of the signature BOSS effect is still loved by musicians everywhere. In 2016, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BOSS innovation, the original analog chorus sounds are now reborn with the Waza Craft CE-2W. The CE-2W’s Standard mode faithfully recreates the classic CE-2 chorus sound, and adds an expansive new sound field with stereo output, which was unavailable in the mono CE-2. CE-1 mode fully reproduces the stereo chorus and vibrato sounds of the legendary CE-1, with the addition of variable chorus depth not available in the original pedal. To commemorate the birth of BOSS effects, the CE-2W is made exclusively in Japan, just as the original CE-1 and CE-2 were.

The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.

Das MicroPitch Delay ist ein hochauflösendes digitales Effektpedal, das duale Pitch-Shifter mit feiner Verstimmung und dualen Delays kombiniert. Es basiert auf den legendären Pitch-Shifting-Algorithmen, die ursprünglich in den Eventide H910 und H3000 Harmonizern zu finden waren, und wurde speziell für die Erzeugung breiter Stereo-Klanglandschaften und üppiger Chorus-Effekte optimiert. Das Pedal ermöglicht die unabhängige Steuerung von zwei Stimmen, jeweils mit eigenen Einstellungen für Pitch, Delay und Feedback. Es verfügt über einen einzigartigen Tone-Regler zur Gestaltung des Frequenzgangs des Effekts sowie eine dedizierte Modulationssektion, um den verstimmten Stimmen Bewegung zu verleihen. Das Gerät unterstützt vollständige MIDI-Implementierung, Expression-Pedal-Zuweisung und kann bis zu fünf Presets direkt speichern, wobei weitere über die Eventide Device Manager Software zugänglich sind. Es wird häufig von Gitarristen verwendet, um den ikonischen „Micropitch“-Schimmer und Verbreiterungseffekt zu erzielen, der in den 1980er Jahren populär wurde.

The MicroPitch Delay is a high-resolution digital effect pedal that combines dual pitch-shifters with fine-resolution detuning and dual delays. It is based on the legendary pitch-shifting algorithms originally found in the Eventide H910 and H3000 Harmonizers, specifically optimized for creating wide stereo soundscapes and lush thickening effects. The pedal allows for independent control over two voices, each with its own pitch, delay, and feedback settings. It features a unique Tone control for shaping the effect's frequency response and a dedicated Modulation section to add movement to the detuned voices. The device supports full MIDI implementation, expression pedal mapping, and can store up to five presets onboard, with more accessible via the Eventide Device Manager software. It is frequently used by guitarists to achieve the iconic "micropitch" shimmer and widening effect popularized in the 1980s.
