The And Roses adds instant emotion to any signal chain... a pulse, a voice, a feeling.. for when you need that emotive support, like an old friend in a little metal box.
The top knob controls the feel... slow to fast. We like this knob set best at full counter clock wise... almost the sound of a throbbing hot tube amp... pulsing with the weight of being alive.
The bottom knob is the voice. It's not a tone, but it controls the tone... it's not a gain, but it controls the grit... it's different, it controls the voice. Full counter clockwise is cleaner, but darker, rolling off the highs, limiting the bandwidth, turning your signal into a distant memory of a feeling you once had. Full Clockwise it's brighter and gritty like a receiver pushing a speaker that's way too small... crispy breakup for modern woes. And Roses is touch sensitive, just like you and me.
The And Roses is a lunch pail pedal... there are no mystical diodes or ancient Egyptian transistors... there isn't even an LED. We've worked hard to make this as bare-bones as possible, accessing classic early rock tones, with the intent on keeping the price point ultra low. The And Roses is a pedal that works, has got soul, and is intended to be abused without guilt.
