Nach der Cyclone wollte ich die historischeren Pfade der Fuzz Face und Tone Bender erkunden.
Ich hatte es früher schon versucht, aber Germanium-Transistoren waren eine Problemquelle.
Dieses Problem wurde dank Silizium beseitigt.
Doch allein der Fuzz-Face-Schaltplan hätte meine Arbeit nur zu einer weiteren Version gemacht; ich wollte etwas anderes, etwas Besonderes.

Ich arbeitete daran, alte russische (Silizium-)Transistoren anzupassen, und erhielt etwas Überraschendes, besonders im oberen Gain-Bereich, und es wurde manchmal ziemlich unkontrollierbar (das ist die „Danger Zone“, und ich habe diese riskante Zone als Klangmöglichkeit belassen).
Dann spielte ich mit einer dritten Transistorstufe, die über den Schalter teilweise aufspaltbar ist, und das gibt noch eine weitere Farbe, anders, runder und fetter

After the Cyclone, I wanted to explore more-historical paths of the Fuzz Face and the Tone Bender.
I had already tried in the past, but germanium transistors were a source of problems.
This problem was wiped away thanks to silicon.
But the Fuzz Face schematic alone would have made my work just another version; I wanted something else, something special.

I worked on adapting old Russian (silicon) transistors, and I obtained something surprising, especially in the upper part of the gain, and it became quite uncontrollable at times (this is the “Danger Zone”, and I left this risky zone as a sonic possibility).
I then played with a third transistor stage, which can be partly split by the switch, and that gives yet another colour, different, rounder and fatter
