Description

The Saint Amp reproduces the high-gain preamp character and tone stack of the classic vintage Marshall JCM800 tube amplifier in a compact stompbox format. Discrete analog FET circuitry emulates the saturation, dynamic touch sensitivity, and harmonic complexity of driven vacuum tube stages. Rotary controls for gain, volume, and a three-band passive equalization section provide precise tone sculpting from punchy crunch to singing hard rock distortion. An internal charge pump or optimized stage headroom allows realistic amplifier dynamics and pick-attack response without mushy low-end compression. Handwired construction using through-hole components ensures reliable signal integrity and low-noise operation during stage or studio tracking. Standard true bypass switching preserves clean instrument pass-through whenever the drive effect is disengaged.
