The exterior physical design (and our shared affinity for noise rock) informed the intent of the circuitry within: a versatile signal boost/overdrive with the potential for a razor-sharp treble response and excessively high output levels. The circuit itself is comprised of a discrete op amp gain stage with a treble boost in front, forming a densely textured upper midrange character laden with higher order intermodulation products. A mix of active and passive tone controls allows for dramatic alterations in sonic character. We also took extreme measures to engineer a high-quality power supply that is fully protected from excessive voltage, improper setup, and external interference.

Der „Electronic Audio Experiments Glaive“ ist das gefährlichste Gain-Gerät in unserem Sortiment. Dieser dissonante und doch täuschend vielseitige Op-Amp-Fuzz erreicht eine Verstärkung von über +80 dB. Der „Weight“-Regler steuert einen leicht resonanten Hochpassfilter am Eingang und ermöglicht so Klänge, die von einem straffen, lautsprecherzerreißenden Grind bis hin zu basslastigem Sludge reichen. Für sich genommen ist der rohe Verzerrcharakter dynamisch und klar, mit einer metallischen Schärfe. „Texture“ mischt ein vollweggleichgerichtetes analoges Signal bei und erzeugt eine Oktave höher, die in den Fuzz-Eingang eingespeist wird. Nutze es für subtile Verzerrungen oder um durchdringende Intermodulationsprodukte und Subbass-Artefakte mit einem synthesizerartigen Attack zu erzeugen. Der LPF-Schalter kann harte Obertöne fokussieren oder einen Vollspektrum-Sound entfesseln, der sich durch jeden Mix setzt. Schließlich ermöglicht der neue Squelch-Schalter ein brutales, hochwirksames Bias-Gate, das selbst die fanatischsten Gain-Pegel zähmen und dem Notenausklang eine bröckelige, zerreißende Qualität verleihen kann.

Abgerundet wird das Gesamtpaket durch ein robustes, internes 24-V-Netzteil mit hoher Headroom-Reserve und einen leisen, gepufferten Bypass mit intelligenter Momentary-/Latching-Funktionalität. Tatsächlich besitzt der Glaive trotz seiner aggressiven Natur eine tödliche Finesse.

The Electronic Audio Experiments Glaive is the most dangerous gain device in our lineup. This discordant yet deceptively versatile op amp fuzz is capable of over +80dB of gain. The Weight knob adjusts a lightly resonant high pass filter at the input, for tones ranging from tight, ripped-speaker grind to bass-rich sludge. On its own, the raw distortion character is dynamic and articulate, with a metallic edge. Texture blends in a full-wave rectified analog signal, producing an octave up that gets fed into the fuzz input. Use it for subtle scrambling, or to generate piercing intermodulation products and sub-bass artifacts with a synthesizer-like attack. The LPF toggle can focus harsh overtones or unleash a full-spectrum cut through any mix. Finally, the new Squelch toggle enables a brute-force, highly effective bias gate that can temper even the most fanatical gain levels and impart a crumbly, ripping quality to the note decay.

The whole package is rounded out with a robust, high-headroom 24V internal power supply and quiet buffered bypass with intelligent momentary/latching functionality. Indeed, despite its belligerent nature, the Glaive possesses a deadly finesse.

Dieses Pedal kombiniert zwei Module: den Halberd Overdrive und den Germanium Boost. Der Halberd liefert transistor-geprägten Overdrive mit Gewicht und Klarheit; der Germanium Boost arbeitet mit einer automatischen Bias-Schaltung und hebt selbst einfachere Transistoren in eine farbenreiche Gain-Stufe. Beide Sektionen sind separat schaltbar. Standardmäßig speist der Boost in den Halberd, aber separate Ein-/Ausgänge erlauben freie Verkabelung – seriell, mit Pedalen dazwischen, oder parallel.

This pedal is a 2-in-1 combo featuring the Halberd overdrive alongside a Germanium Boost. The Halberd delivers transistor-flavored overdrive with weight and clarity; the Germanium Boost uses an automatic biasing circuit to elevate even low-grade transistors into a lively gain stage. Both sides are individually foot-switchable. By default the Boost feeds the Halberd, but you can use separate inputs/outputs and route in series, swap order, or even run in parallel.

Model feT (Dragon Blood Red)

In a nutshell the Beholder consists of the following: 1) an emulated spring/hall reverb using a
series of digital delay chips (themselves ensconced in a “brick” module) that feeds back onto
itself, and 2) a high-gain fuzz. When you first turn on the Beholder you will find yourself in an
utterly destroyed soundscape, but one with endless possibilities. Enjoy the chaos!
