FUZZ
Description
Recreating the biting saturation of early 1960s fuzz tones, the analog circuit is inspired by the iconic vintage Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz-Tone topology. Discrete transistor clipping delivers an aggressive, raspy treble bite designed to cut through dense ensemble mixes. Gain saturation and harmonic intensity are adjusted via the Attack potentiometer, ranging from mild vintage crunch to biting fuzz textures. Output balance is matched cleanly to instrument signals using a dedicated Volume level control. Dynamic pick response preserves articulate note definition when rolling back instrument volume. Mechanical true bypass switching ensures uncolored signal flow across downstream pedals when disengaged.
