Utilizing operational amplifiers rather than traditional discrete transistors, this distortion/fuzz reissue faithfully reconstructs the late-1970s V4 and V5 circuit variations famously relied upon for the crushing rhythm sounds of 1990s alternative rock. Three gain stages and an active tone control provide massive sustain alongside a dense, gritty fuzz texture. A dedicated tone-bypass switch completely removes the tone stack from the circuit, yielding an unfiltered mid-forward boost with increased volume and raw bite. Original designer Howard Davis collaborated with Electro-Harmonix and The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan to refine and authenticate the sound of this reissue. Housed in a die-cast enclosure, it delivers the signature scooped wall of sound while offering switchable tone flexibility for cutting through live mixes.

The BOSS DS-1 is without a doubt one of the most famous distortion pedals out there.
Since the late ’70s and until today, this little orange pedal offers a compressed, British stack style distortion with an easy control layout – Distortion, Tone and Level.

The BOSS DS-1 is not a subtle pedal but not brutal either, it retains its characteristics with most type of pickups and it is really a great pedal for beginners and pros alike.

Der Small Stone von Electro Harmonix ist ein Phaser-Pedal, das 1974 von David Cockerell entwickelt wurde. Im Gegensatz zu seinem Hauptrivalen, dem MXR Phase 90, der einen JFET-Transistor verwendet, um die Frequenz seiner vier Stufen zu variieren, ist seine Schaltung um einen Transkonduktanz-OP-Verstärker herum aufgebaut. Der Small Stone wurde unter anderem von David Gilmour und David Bowies Gitarristen Carlos Alomar verwendet und war von Anfang an ein großer Erfolg, so dass er noch immer im Katalog der in Long Island ansässigen Marke zu finden ist.

The Small Stone from Electro Harmonix is a phaser pedal that was developed by David Cockerell in 1974. Um dem Marshall Sound und dessen Flexibilität noch besser abzubilden, dachten JHS es wäre an der Zeit ein komplettes Marshall-Style Tone Stack einzubauen – recht hatten sie!

The Angry Charlie has become a staple of the JHS line over the years. The V3 is a force to be reckoned with in the high gain pedal territory. It convincingly and accurately breathes JCM800 tones with ease. New to the V3 are the Bass, Mids, and Treble controls. To faithfully replicate a Marshall amplifier JHS felt it was time to incorporate a full Marshall-style tone stack.

Wilco Gitarrist Nels Cline wandte sich an JHS Gründer Josh Scott mit der Frage, ob JHS im Jahr 2022 ein Oil Can Delay herstellen würde. Obwohl JHS das nicht offiziell im Programm hatte, entwickelten Josh und sein Team ein Oil Can Delay Pedal in Einzelanfertigung, das sie Nels als Geschenk überreichten. Nels war so begeistert, dass er es für die Aufnahmen und die Tournee für Wilcos Cruel Country und jetzt für das neueste Album Cousin nutzte.

Wilco guitarist Nels Cline reached out to JHS founder Josh Scott asking if JHS made an oil can delay in 2022. Though JHS didn’t have one in the official lineup, Josh and team developed a one-off oil can delay pedal, which they presented to Nels as a gift. Nels liked it so much that he used it through the recording and touring process for Wilco’s Cruel Country and now their latest record Cousin.
Though the JHS Oil Can Delay isn’t a signature artist pedal, we’re still grateful to Nels Cline for inspiring it. JHS are proud to offer you this unique pedal for your own collection.

MXR knows phasers. The Phase 90's compact size, superior construction, and refined sound put MXR on the map, and it set the standard by which all other phasers are judged. Two years later, MXR released the Phase 45—a mellower version of the effect favored for its ability to easily blend into a band's mix. Now, you can get both iconic circuits in a single pedal while tightening up your pedalboard at the same time. The Phase 95 combines the Phase 45 and Phase 90 circuits in a mini housing with about half the footprint of a standard MXR pedal. The 45/90 switch toggles between the Phase 45 mode's subtle two-stage phasing and the Phase 90 mode's more pronounced four-stage phasing, while the Script switch toggles between two phasing styles. The Phase 95 is set to modern style phasing by default, which relies on feedback to create light harmonic distortion and gives the effect a more accentuated swoosh. Engaging the Script switch removes feedback for a lusher, more subdued sound with higher headroom and greater clarity. The familiar Speed control sets the rate of the effect. The Phase 95 may be small, but it's full of rich phase tones, and it'll take a beating on the road.

Rotary level, tone, and gain potentiometers provide comprehensive control over overall output volume, high-frequency presence, and clipping intensity. Premium discrete components ensure lower operational noise floors while maintaining transparent dynamic tracking across diverse pickup outputs. Built into a compact cast-metal chassis, the unit features buffered electronic switching to preserve signal integrity across long pedal chains. Independent dual-stage gain clipping recreates warm preamp break-up alongside saturated lead textures suitable for blues and rock genres.
