The TC Electronic PolyTune 2 pedal tuner is an absolute must-have for every guitarist. With the help of the polyphonic tuning engine, all strings of the electric guitar can be tuned simultaneously and precisely. Guitars with a tremolo system in particular are easier to control using the polyphonic function: The tension ratio of all strings to each other becomes visible and the influence on the other strings when one string is tuned. In addition, a classic single-note mode with needle display and an extremely precise strobe mode with +/- 1 cent accuracy are available. Friends of drop and open tunings will also get their money's worth with the appropriate settings. Thanks to the extremely bright and large LED display, the TC Polytune 2 is perfectly legible even in poor lighting conditions. Beim Hoof Fuzz hat sich EarthQuaker Devices vom klassischen, „russischen“ Big Muff Pi inspirieren lassen. Das Hoof Germanium/Silizium-Hybrid-Fuzz erzeugt ein natürliches und obertonreiches Sustain. Das Klangspektrum reicht von dreckigem Overdrive bis zu monströsem Fuzz. Der Shift-Regler verändert als „Geheimwaffe“ die Frequenz-Ansprache des Tone-Reglers, ausgehöhlt klingende „Scooped-Mids-Fuzz-Sounds“ sind hiermit ebenfalls möglich. Das Hoof Fuzz ist voll analog aufgebaut, verfügt über einen True Bypass und wird in Handarbeit in Ohio/USA hergestellt. Das Hoof V2 verfügt über einen geräuschlosen, relais-basierten Soft-Touch Fußschalter. Audiosignale haben keinen Durchgang, wenn das Gerät nicht mit Strom versorgt wird.

The Hoof Fuzz is based on character of the classic green Russian muff. The Hoof germanium/silicon hybrid fuzz delivers a smooth, natural and harmonically rich sustain. It is capable of creating everything from dirty and organic overdrive to monstrous fuzz madness. The Shift control is its secret weapon of the Hoof. It changes the frequency response of the tone control, primarily on the treble side, making possible hollow sounding “scooped mids fuzz tones”. The Hoof features all analog operation and True Bypass. Hand built in Ohio, USA. The Hoof V2 uses silent relay-based soft touch switching. Audio will not pass without power.

Das Boss DD-500, ein High End Delay des japanischen Effektgeräte-Herstellers, kann mit 12 Delay-Programmen, 32 Bit/96 kHz Signalverarbeitung, bis zu 297 Speicherplätzen und einem Looper aufwarten und ist mit dieser Ausstattung naturgemäß in einer etwas höheren Preisklasse angesiedelt. Allein diese Eckdaten sind einigermaßen imposant, aber die Marke Boss und der Mutterkonzern Roland haben bereits in der Vergangenheit – zum Beispiel mit dem DD-20, dem Space Echo oder dem Tera Echo – bewiesen, dass man durchaus auch in unterschiedlichen Preiskategorien in der Lage ist, uns Gitarristen mit amtlichen Delay-Sounds zu versorgen.

The Boss DD-500 is one of the few Boss pedals which are, because of their size, less pedalboard friendly. Therefor, it offers up to 10 seconds maximum delay time, tap tempo and tape emulation.
Other features of the stereo pedal that allows to choose a true bypass or a buffered processing, are modulation, expression pedal and midi input.
Furthermore, you can lead different delays (modulation models) on several channels and run the pedal serial as well as parallel.
All things considered, the 9V pedal with integrated looper provides an extremely extensive menu including tone shaping options.
Nevertheless, the Boss DD-500 which is still produced today is not really legendary and its sound is quite sterile. This is why this digital delay is a 3 of 10 on my cult factor scale.

The Death By Audio Robot is a low fidelity 8 bit pitch transposer with absolutely no feelings whatsoever. It is completely synthetic and transforms any input into a puree of resynthesized robot jargon. Features bendable super lo-fi fuzz, octave up, octave down, and arpeggiation. All modes are controlled by the large Control knob, which sets the frequency the chip operates at, changing and warping the pitch shifting and aliasing effects. When turned up completely clockwise, it is at its highest pitch. Turning down, counterclockwise, lowers the pitch or speed of the arpeggiator.
