The LEHLE SUNDAY DRIVER is a high end preamp with a convenient compact format. It features JFET-based circuitry and provides two modes of operation, with selection via a mode selector switch with gold-plated contacts: "D" stands for Driver; in this mode, the guitar signal is amplified, with absolutely no modification, at the input impedance of a guitar amp, efficiently eliminating losses on the route through leads and effects; the signal remains strong and clear, retaining its full dynamics. The second setting "S" - as in Sunday - multiplies input impedance by four, bringing out previously inaudible details and, as gain increases, imparting to the guitar sound a characteristic and unmistakable warmth that has given this preamp its name - the result is a sound as mellow as a sunny Sunday afternoon!

So liefert das Pedal im Standard-Modus einen Sustain-verlängernden Overdrive, der dank High-Pass-Filter die tiefen Frequenzen für ein druckvolles Klangbild unangetastet lässt. Im „Tubesim“-Modus hingegen überzeugt der EBS Multidrive mit einem harmonischen Zerrsound, dessen authentischer Röhrencharakter eine warme, natürliche Kompression und harmonische Obertöne addiert, während der „Flat“-Modus den gesamten Frequenzbereich der Gainstage zuführt. Hierbei kann über den Drive-Regler der Grad der Verzerrung eingestellt werden, während Volume die Ausgangslautstärke regelt.

Thanks to its analog circuitry and three effect modes, the EBS MultiDrive SE impresses with a particularly harmonious overdrive sound for electric bass. In standard mode, the pedal delivers a sustain-extending overdrive that leaves the low frequencies untouched for a powerful sound thanks to the high-pass filter. In “Tubesim” mode, on the other hand, the EBS Multidrive impresses with a harmonic distortion sound whose authentic tube character adds a warm, natural compression and harmonic overtones, while the “Flat” mode feeds the entire frequency range to the gain stage. The degree of distortion can be adjusted via the Drive control, while Volume regulates the output volume.

Also, one very unique feature that I think will appeal to a lot of people is the “swappable” 8 pin dual inline op amp. You can basically make it your own signature drive by replacing the main drive chip with another of your choice! Also, there’s a phase reverse switch for the drive channel that gives tones a very different dimension. And a “boost” switch to kick the drive into a much higher gain. All exciting new features that will make it easier for players to fine tune this device to their own personal needs
