The same powerful eq section as the FELiX allows simple and intuitive tone shaping. The high pass filter cuts 12dB per octave from 20Hz to 1kHz, and can also be set as a notch filter for chasing down problem feedback or rumble areas. Parametric midrange covers from 70Hz all the way to 8KHz, and fixed low and high controls are carefully voiced for musical shading of bass and treble.

Als wir 2011 unseren ursprünglichen Compressor auf den Markt brachten, wurde er schnell zu einem Favoriten unter Gitarristen und Bassisten, die nach etwas mehr suchten als den typischen, stark vereinfachten Reglern, die man bei den meisten Kompressor-Pedalen findet. Auf Grundlage des wertvollen Feedbacks unserer Nutzer haben wir nun alles, was an unserem ursprünglichen Compressor großartig war, noch weiter verbessert. 

Zusätzlich zu den zahlreichen Funktionen und Reglern, die normalerweise nur in High-End-Studioausrüstung zu finden sind, wie z. B. Eingangs- und Gain-Reduktionsanzeigen, unabhängige Attack- und Release-Regler, ein Mix-Regler für parallele Kompression und ein externer Sidechain-Insert, haben wir nun einen „Tilt”-Klangregler und einen wählbaren Sidechain-Hochpassfilter hinzugefügt, der in den Erkennungskreis des Compressors integriert ist. Ach ja, und das ganze Paket ist jetzt nur noch halb so groß und in zwei schicken Farben erhältlich!

When we released our original Compressor back in 2011, it quickly became a favourite among guitar and bass players alike who were searching for something more than the typical oversimplified controls found on most compressor pedals. Now, based on our users’ valuable feedback, we’ve taken everything great about our original Compressor and made it even better. 

On top of the full range of features and controls normally only seen in high end studio equipment, such as input and gain reduction metering, independent attack and release controls, a mix knob for parallel compression, and an external sidechain insert, we’ve now added a ‘tilt’ tone eq control, and a selectable sidechain high pass filter built into the Compressor’s detection circuit. Oh, and the whole package is now half the size and available in two snazzy colours!

CIOKS 4 Expander is the perfect companion to CIOKS DC7 in case you would like four additional outlets with four selectable voltages on each tap (9, 12, 15 and 18V DC) which can each deliver 660mA at 9V DC. Trotz seines tiefen theoretischen Wissens fand Tom lange keinen passenden Effektpedal. Nach einer Zusammenarbeit mit Wampler Pedals im Jahr 2012 wurde das Dual Fusion entwickelt, mit zwei modifizierten Schaltkreisen aus dem Euphoria und Paisley Drive. Es bietet Klarheit, Kontrolle und einen Verstärker-ähnlichen Sound und spricht Gitarristen verschiedener Genres an.

Fusion, a relatively new genre blending jazz and rock, particularly the technical "shredder" style from the 80s, has Tom Quayle as one of its leading figures. Known for his deep theoretical knowledge and unique playing style, Tom struggled to find a pedal that matched his needs. After collaborating with Wampler Pedals in 2012, they developed the Dual Fusion pedal. It features two modified circuits from the Euphoria and Paisley Drive, designed to give Tom clarity, control, and amp-like response when stacked. The Dual Fusion has become a versatile tool for modern fusion guitarists and appeals to players of all genres.

Die wohl beste Geheimwaffe, von der du wahrscheinlich noch nicht wusstest, dass du sie brauchst! Gerade wir Pedal-Nerds laufen Gefahr unseren Sound mit endlosen Pedalketten in den Ruin zu treiben. Der Feind heißt Kapazität, ein Problem das bei zu langen Kabelwegen undn ich zuletzt schlechten Schaltungen auftritt und das Signal High End kostet und es schwach und charakterlos klingen lässt. Ein Trugschluss, der dies noch unterstützt is die Annahme dass True Bypass immer gut ist, denn ganz stimmt dies leider nicht. Der Little Black Buffer kommt genau hier ins Spiel und versorgt dein Rig mit genau der richtigen Eingangsimpedanz, damit du am Ende einen klaren, natürlichen Sound hast, der klingt als hättest du dich direkt in den Amp gestöpselt.

This may be the greatest weapon you didn’t know you needed. For those of us who are a little “pedal happy” there can be some downfall to our tone. When running a pedal board with more than one or two effects, something called “capacitance” happens. This natural problem happens due to the amount of cable or line that your signal has to travel through, not to mention bad switching systems in certain pedals. The result is a very audible amount of high-end loss, weak signal, flabby bass and uncharacteristic pickup behavior in guitars. Another problem is the assumption that all “true bypass” is good. This isn’t true and actually can be worse than imagined. This is where the “Little Black Buffer” steps in providing the perfect input impedance to your rig and giving you the final result of clear, natural tone that sounds like you're plugged straight into your amp.

The Filter Twin®  uses two identical filters sweeping in opposite directions – one up in frequency, one down in frequency – to give classic 70’s-inspired funk sounds or completely new and original filter tones. Two filters sweeping at the same time give you a more organic, vocal quality and allows you to get expressive new sounds that you can’t get from other pedals.

The Filter Twin®  offers unique filter effects via an intuitive four-knob layout. The BLEND control allows you to adjust the mix between the filters. The THRESHOLD control determines how sensitive the unit is to different playing styles. The VELOCITY controls determine the speed of each filter.

Die New Yorker Company Aguilar ist seit 1995 nicht mehr aus der Szene wegzudenken. Damals war in der New Yorker Bassistenszene plötzlich ein Gerät einer noch unbekannten Marke in aller Munde: der Aguilar DB 680, ein Highend-Röhren-Preamp, welcher qualitativ höchsten Ansprüchen gerecht wurde und auf den Erfahrungen des professionellen Session-Bassisten Dave Boonshoft und des Amp-Spezialisten Alex Aguilar basierte. Beflügelt vom Erfolg des DB 680 und den positiven Rückmeldungen der Szene entstand zur damaligen Zeit die Firma Aguilar Amplification, die bis heute für edlen amerikanischen Basssound steht. Seit 1995 hat sich freilich sehr viel getan – vor allem wurde das Portfolio deutlich erweitert. Heutzutage baut Aguilar Amps, Boxen, Pickups, Elektroniken und Effektpedale. Und ein neuer Spross eben dieser Pedale liegt mir heute zum Test vor: der Grape Phaser!

The 4-stage analog Grape Phaser is a fairly simple pedal with just two dials: rate and color. It’s a solid, high-quality stompbox with a sturdy bypass switch and nice rubber control knobs. The pedal’s rate knob can take the speed of the modulation from a long and luxurious slow sweep all the way up to super-fast alien helicopter sounds. The color control feeds a portion of the signal back through the phase-shifting circuit. The Grape runs on 9V DC from your favorite universal power supply, but accepts a battery, too. The battery is accessed through a clever metal drawer that’s conveniently released with one Phillips screw. The pedal also features what Aguilar calls “gig-saver” bypass, which means if/when power to the pedal is lost, the signal is still passed through the bypassed pedal. I think that feature could really live up to its name! And, of course, the pedal is grape colored.
