Das EarthQuaker Devices Sunn O))) Life Pedal V3 bietet Distortion, Boost und einen regelbaren Octave-Up Effekt in einem kompakten Effektpedal. Die 'Amplitude' Sektion des Pedals basiert auf dem klassischen 'White Face' Distortion Pedal, die Schaltung wurde jedoch um drei wählbare Clipping-Modi erweitert. Die erste Position (No Diode OpAmp Drive) bietet einen satten Drive bei maximalem Volume. Die zweite Position nutzt zwei Silizium-Dioden und eine LED in einer asymmetrischen Clipping-Konfiguration und erzeugt einen leicht komprimierten, smoothen Crunch, der an einen übersteuerten Verstärker erinnert. Die dritte Position nutzt zwei Silizium-Dioden und erzeugt den klassischen 'White Face' Sound. Die Octave-Up Sektion arbeitet komplett analog und lässt sich über einen Regler oder ein optionales Expression Pedal stufenlos mit der Verzerrung mischen. Der monophone Effekt arbeitet am 'saubersten' mit einzelnen Noten oberhalb des 12. Bundes, die über den Neck Pickup gespielt werden. Akkorde erzeugen einen chaotischen, 'scheppernden' Sound. Dreht man den Octave-Regler voll auf erzeugt das Sunn O))) Life Pedal V2 einen dreckigen, wütenden Fuzz-Sound, der an das Super Fuzz erinnert. Die 'Magnitude' Sektion ist ein MOSFET Booster, der Röhrenverstärker in die Sättigung treibt. Der Booster arbeitet komplett clean und fügt dem Signal selbst keine Verzerrung hinzu, bietet dafür aber ein extrem hohes Output Level um das Front End des Amps zu pushen. Der Signalweg geht Octave > Distortion > Boost, dabei lassen sich beide Sektionen unabhängig voneinander nutzen.

The EarthQuaker Devices Sunn O))) Life Pedal V3 offers distortion, boost and an adjustable octave-up effect in a compact effects pedal. The 'Amplitude' section of the pedal is based on the classic 'White Face' distortion pedal, but the circuitry has been expanded to include three selectable clipping modes. The first position (No Diode OpAmp Drive) offers a rich drive at maximum volume. The second position uses two silicon diodes and a LED in an asymmetrical clipping configuration and produces a slightly compressed, smooth crunch reminiscent of an overdriven amp. The third position uses two silicon diodes and produces the classic 'white face' sound. The Octave-Up section is completely analogue and can be mixed with the distortion via a knob or an optional expression pedal. The monophonic effect works 'cleanest' with single notes above the 12th fret played through the neck pickup. Chords produce a chaotic, 'clanging' sound. Turning the Octave control all the way up, the Sunn O))) Life Pedal V2 produces a dirty, angry fuzz sound reminiscent of the Super Fuzz. The 'Magnitude' section is a MOSFET booster that drives tube amps into saturation. The booster works completely clean and adds no distortion to the signal itself, but offers an extremely high output level to push the front end of the amp. The signal path goes Octave > Distortion > Boost, and both sections can be used independently of each other.

Der Avalanche Run wurde mit dem Ziel entwickelt, die schwebenden Ambient-Töne des Dispatch Masters auf das nächste Level zu heben und dabei benutzerfreundlich und raffiniert zu halten. Der Avalanche Run ist ein verträumtes Sonic Discovery-Device mit bis zu 2 Sekunden Delay-Zeit und einem üppigen Stereo-Reverb. Es bietet vollständige Kontrolle über die Verzögerungszeit, Wiederholungen, Mix und Voice (mit dem Tone Regler), sowie Kontrolle über die Hallfahnen-Länge und Reverb Mix. Es kann in einem von 3 verschiedenen Modi betrieben werden: Normal, Reverse und Swell. Im "Normal" -Modus fungiert der Avalanche-Run als direktes Delay und Reverb. Im "Reverse" -Modus ist die Delay Spur umgekehrt und der Reverb bleibt im normalen Modus. Im "Swell" -Modus reagiert der Avalanche Run auf deine Picking-Dynamik und fügt dem gesamten Signalweg einen Volume Swell hinzu, ähnlich wie beim manuellen Auf- und Zudrehen des Volume Reglers deiner Gitarre. Ausgestattet mit einer Kombination aus True Bypass und Buffered Bypass mit Trails-Funktion wird auch das Avalanche Run in Handarbeit in Ohio/USA hergestellt. Das Avalanche V2 verfügt über einen geräuschlosen, relais-basierten Soft-Touch Fußschalter. Audiosignale haben keinen Durchgang, wenn das Gerät nicht mit Strom versorgt wird.

The Avalanche Run was developed with one goal in mind: to take the floating ambient tones of our Dispatch Master to the next level while still keeping it user friendly and refined. The Avalanche Run is a dreamy sonic discovery device with up to 2 seconds of delay time and a lush stereo reverb. It features complete control over delay time, repeats, mixand voice (with the tone control), as well as control over the reverb length and mix. It can run in one of 3 different modes: Normal, Reverse and Swell. In “Normal”mode, the Avalanche Run functions as a straightforward delay and reverb. In “Reverse”mode, the delay line is in reverse and the reverb remains in normal mode. In “Swell”mode, the Avalanche Run reacts to your picking dynamics and adds a volume swell to the entire signal path much like manually raising and lowering the volume of your guitar. Die Walrus Audio Julia ist ein komplett analoges Chorus/Vibrato-Pedal, das mit einigen Besonderheiten aufwarten kann. Obwohl es sich bei den beiden um alteingesessene Standard-Effektsounds handelt, versteht es der amerikanische Boutique-Hersteller, mit einigen Extras jenseits der Norm Interesse zu wecken.
So auch bei der Julia, bei der beispielsweise fließend mit einem Blend-Regler zwischen Chorus und Vibrato gewechselt werden kann. Dazu lässt ein Schalter die Wahl, den LFO zu Sinus- oder Dreieck-Wellenformen zu überreden. Was diese Funktionen klanglich bewirken, schauen wir uns im Folgenden an.

Der Grand Orbiter ist ein vierstufiger, analoger Phaser, der außer klassischen auch ungewöhnliche Sounds und Vibrato-Effekte bietet. Das Effektspektrum reicht von langsam und resonant bis schnell und quirlig. Das Grand Orbiter Phaser-Pedal ist umschaltbar von Phaser- auf Vibrato-Effekte und verfügt über einen Dreifach-Modulationsbereich-Schalter sowie einen LFO-Kill-Switch, um den Effekt alternativ auch manuell, als feststehendes Resonanzfilter "durchstimmen" zu können. Der Dreifach-Modulationsbereich-Schalter bietet die Modi Slow Sweep, Fixed Resonance und Fast Sweep. Mit dem Master-Rate-Regler lässt sich die Geschwindigkeit in den verschiedenen Modi feinabstimmen. Zudem funktioniert der Fußschalter als Standard Latching Schalter als auch als Momentary Switch, sodass du den Effekt immer nur genau so lange nutzen kannst wie du ihn brauchst. .Der Grand Orbiter verfügt über einen True Bypass und wird in Handarbeit in Ohio/USA hergestellt. Der Grand Orbiter V3 verfügt über einen geräuschlosen, relais-basierten Soft-Touch Fußschalter. Audiosignale haben keinen Durchgang, wenn das Gerät nicht mit Strom versorgt wird.

The Grand Orbiter is a four stage analog phaser that offers classic and unconventional phaser and vibrato sounds, it can go from stationary and resonant to fast and swirly. The Grand Orbiter can be turned from phaser to vibrato via a dedicated switch and features a three way toggle switch to select between the ranges of modulation. One of these ranges, kills the LFO and allows the Grand Orbiter to work as a fixed resonant filter. The three ranges offer the following modes: Slow Sweep, Fixed Resonance and Fast Sweep. The Rate control allows to fine tune the speed of the LFO in each one of the modes. It can be activated in standard latching operation or in momentary operation, by just holding the footswitch down for as long as you'd use the effect. The Grand Orbiter is a True Bypass pedal and is hand made in Ohio, USA. The Grand Orbiter V3 uses silent relay-based soft touch switching. Audio will not pass without power.

Based on the specifications of the original pedal developed by VOX in the ’60s, the new Wah-Wah offers guitarists the same legendary tone with the addition of AC power capability and a buffered input jack for preserving the unprocessed guitar tone when the pedal is not engaged. The pedal’s inductor has undergone a redesign to be closer in specification to the original VOX wah inductors, for improved dynamics and tone. These additions will benefit players of all genres who use a wah pedal as an integral part of their sound.

Im Zusammenspiel mit einem guten Röhrenverstärker erzeugt der Plumes eine warme, transparente Sättigung. EarthQuaker verzichtet auf den bewährten JRC4558 OpAmp und die BJT Buffer und ersetzt sie in der Schaltung durch Low Noise JFET OpAmps für einen präziseren Sound mit deutlich geringerem Grundrauschen. Mit 10 Megaohm Eingangsimpedanz bietet das Pedal einen wunderbar klaren, detaillierten Sound. Der Arbeitsbereich des Tone-Reglers wurde ebenfalls angepasst um mit einem satteren Low End ein breiteres Spektrum an möglichen Sounds zu bieten. 

Zusätzlich bietet der Plumes drei wählbare Clipping-Modi um den Sound des Pedals an möglichst viele Stilrichtungen und unterschiedlichstes Equipment anpassen zu können. Mode 1 bietet symmetrisches Clipping, basierend auf einem Paar LEDs. Das Setting bietet den sattesten Crunch und den klassischen Sound eines übersteuerten Röhrenverstärkers. Mode 2 ist ein Clean Boost ohne Soft Clipping, perfekt um den Clean Sound im Mix nach vorne zu bringen oder den Preamp eines Verstärkers in die Sättigung zu fahren. Mode 3 nutzt asymmetrisches Clipping mit Silizium Dioden und klingt am ehesten nach einem originalen Screamer. Im direkten Vergleich liefert das Setting aber mehr Output und klarere Clean Sounds.

Darüber hinaus verfügt der Plumes auch über EarthQuaker Devices 'Soft Touch' Flexi-Switch-Funktion, mit der du im Handumdrehen zwischen Momentary Modus und traditionellem Latching wählen kannst.

The EarthQuaker Devices Plumes is based on the legendary green overdrive pedal, which has been the industry standard for decades. In combination with a good tube amp, the Plumes creates a warm, transparent saturation. EarthQuaker Devices relinquishes the trusted JRC4558 OpAmp and BJT Buffers and replaces them with low noise JFET OpAmps for a more robust and precise signal with a significantly lower noise floor. With 10 megohms of input impedance, the pedal provides a stronger signal with more clarity and chime. EarthQuaker Devices adjusted the cutoff of the tone control to deliver a more useful range of travel with more booming bass on the low end without sacrificing the cutting midrange and bright top end.

In addition, the Plumes offers three selectable clipping modes to ensure that it will work with a wide variety of gear and playing styles. Mode 1 is symmetrical clipping based on a pair of LEDs. This is the crunchiest setting the Plumes has to offer. When played through a clean amp, it will deliver that classic crunchy valve amp tone. Mode 2 is a clean boost without soft clipping and with straight OpAmp drive, perfect for pushing your clean tone out in front or driving the preamp of an already overdriven amp into breakup saturation. Mode 3 is an asymmetrical silicon diode arrangement like an original screamer but with more output and clean clarity.
