The Darkglass Electronics Microtubes B3K v1 is a compact CMOS-based bass overdrive pedal that delivers a unique combination of saturation and low-end clarity. It features primary controls for level, drive, and a blend knob to mix the clean input signal with the overdriven signal. Additional toggle switches include a pre-gain grunt switch for low-end emphasis and an attack switch to adjust high-frequency saturation content. Housed in a durable aluminum enclosure, the circuit is designed to retain fundamental low frequency response under heavy gain. Power is supplied exclusively through an external direct current adapter.

Tailored specifically for low-end instruments, this studio-grade dynamic processor incorporates a field-effect transistor circuit architecture inspired by classic studio rack equipment such as the UREI 1176. The circuit incorporates classic studio FET-style topology inspired by the UREI 1176 architecture. Independent rotary controls govern Input, Output, Attack, and Release parameters, accompanied by a 4-position rotary switch offering compression ratios of 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1. A ten-segment LED gain-reduction meter provides clear real-time visual feedback for precise dynamic shaping. Hardwire true bypass switching preserves original signal integrity when the compression circuitry is disengaged.

Der EHX Bass Micro Synthesizer ist ein reiner Bassgitarren-Synthesizer mit vollständig analoger Schaltung. Einstellbare Synthesizer-Parameter erzeugen satte, kraftvolle Klänge aus einer anderen Welt.

Its voice mix section lets you bring in 4 different voices: Sub Octave, Guitar, Octave, and Square Wave. The Square Wave gives the Bass Micro Snythesizer its signature, fuzzy growl that calls back to the cosmic ’70s .

Der Pitchblack XS bietet außer dem True Bypass-Modus für die naturbelassene Ausgabe des Eingangssignals auch einen ULTRA-BUFFER.

Was ist daran so besonders?

Die meisten E-Gitarren sind mit passiven Tonabnehmern ausgestattet und haben eine entsprechend hohe Ausgangsimpedanz. Bei Verwendung eines Gitarrenkabels von 6m oder länger geht im Höhenbereich je länger je mehr vom Gitarren-Sound verloren. Ein Puffer kompensiert diese Signalbeeinträchtigung und somit den Sound-Verlust für lange Kabel – selbst, wenn die Stimmfunktion aus ist.

Der ULTRA-BUFFER verbessert die Klangqualität im Bypass-Betrieb und erhält bei Verwendung eines langen Kabels somit den Sound, ganz gleich, ob es direkt mit dem Tuner oder zunächst mit einem komplexen Effekt-Board verbunden ist.

Der Pitchblack XS erlaubt Wechsel zwischen dem True Bypass- und dem Ultra Buffer-Modus, um in jeder Lebenslage den optimalen Sound zu erzielen.

The Pitchblack XS not only features a true bypass for outputting the sound exactly as it was input, but now includes a built-in ULTRA BUFFER.

Why is this important?

The majority of electric guitars use passive pickups with a high impedance output. When you are using a cable there is a loss of tone, usually high frequencies, after about 6 m (around 18 feet) and this problem gets worse the longer your cable. A buffer boosts the signal over long cables to avoid loss of tone, keeping it clean and clear - even when your pedal is off.

The ULTRA BUFFER enhances the sound quality in bypass mode, so that you can still maintain audio quality even when using a long cable to connect to the tuner, or when inserting the tuner into a complex effects board.

On the Pitchblack XS, you can switch between true bypass and the ULTRA BUFFER, according to your tastes and environment.
