Oft kopiert aber nie erreicht, rangiert das schwer zu findende, originale, Phase 90 bei den Sammlern alter Bodentreter ganz weit oben. Das Original - seit der Gründung der Firma Dunlop bis in die späten 70er Jahre erhältlich – definierte den klassischen Phase Shifter Sound und war in allen Musikstilen zu hören, egal ob Hard Rock, Jazz-Fusion oder Funk-Hits. Der nach dem Kultpedal der Firma designte Phaser kommt puritanisch mit einem Regler aus, über den der Phaser-Speed einstellbar ist. Eine rote LED über dem stabilen Fußschalter zeigt den Schaltstatus an. Das massive Spritzgußgehäuse verfügt über jeweils 1/4" Klinke In- und Out-Eingänge. Betrieben wird der Kulttreter mit einer 9V Batterie, die in einem leicht zugänglichen Batteriefach auf der Unterseite Platz findet. Es ist erhältlich in der ursprünglichen orangenen Farbe.

Das Acapulco Gold interagiert perfekt mit Volume- und Tone-Potis der Gitarre und klart beim Zurückdrehen etwas auf. Wer seinen Röhren-Amp zusätzlich zum „Sunn-Model-T-Kick“ auch boosten möchte, liegt beim Acapulco Gold genau richtig. In erster Linie erzeugt das Pedal jedoch heftige Distortions bis hin fast zum Fuzz und kann mächtig viel Pegel erzeugen! Das Pedal reagiert sehr dynamisch auf die Spielweise. Zwar waren es Verstärker, mit denen Line 6 als Pionier der Modeling-Technologie Mitte der Neunziger startete und auch prompt für Furore sorgte, aber mit dem legendären POD folgte bald ein kompaktes Stück Hightech, in dem sich die Simulationen jeder Menge Amps versammelten. Logisch eigentlich, dass man sich auch mit der Nachbildung von Instrumenten beschäftigte und in neuerer Zeit mit der viel beachteten Variax-Serie die Szene mit Modeling-Gitarren- und –Bässen beglückte. Aber genau so folgerichtig war es auch, dass die umtriebige Firma aus Agoura Hills in Kalifornien ihr geballtes Know-how in die Entwicklung von Effektgeräten einfließen ließ und seit 2000 ihr umfangreiches Programm auch mit einer inzwischen beeindruckenden Zahl an Bodeneffekten bereichert.

Der Mooer Tender Octaver MKII behält das simple Kontrollinterface und den schlanken Fußabdruck seines Vorgängers, kommt aber ausgestattet mit 3 brandneuen Pitch-Shiftng Algorithmen (Fat, Tight und Swell) und verfügt zusätzlich über ein komplett analoges Dry Through Signal. Der Fat Algorithmus sorgt für eine riesige basslastige Sub-Oktave, der Tight Modus ergibt eine fokussierte Suboktave mit gecutteten Bässen und scharfem Upper-Octave Biss während der Swell Algorithmus automatische Volume Swells des Oktav-Signals ergibt. Der DOD FX80B Compressor Sustainer ist eine überarbeitete Version des ursprünglichen FX80 und wurde Mitte der 1980er Jahre vorgestellt. Er verfügt über drei Regler: Level, Compression und Release, mit denen Lautstärke, Kompressionsstärke und Ausklingzeit eingestellt werden können. Das Pedal sorgt für ein weiches und natürliches Sustain und erhält dabei den ursprünglichen Klang und die Dynamik des Instruments. Its dual outputs allow for a true stereo image, enhancing the spatial depth of the effect. The pedal features a rugged metal chassis and a large rubberized footswitch typical of late-90s DOD designs.

FX33 BUZZ BOX

The Chthonic Fuzz (pronounced: THAH-nik) creates fat, corpulent, fudgy, sludgy, fuzz tones designed to pair perfectly with single-coil, P90, gold-foil, and DeArmond style pickups. It also works great with PAF-style humbuckers, but this fuzz was designed with brighter guitars and bright, clean amps in mind.
