CMAT Mods wurde von Chad Matthews aus seiner Leidenschaft für das Modden und Bauen von Pedalen heraus gegründet und wurde zu einem Vollzeitunternehmen, als er begann, mit dem Pedalbauer Greg Blessing zusammenzuarbeiten. Der Analog Chorus emuliert den Sound alter Chorus-Pedale, indem er nicht mehr produzierte Chips und Schaltungen verwendet.

Built on a passion for modding and building pedals, CMAT Mods was founded by Chad Matthews and became a full-time enterprise when he began working with pedal builder Greg Blessing. The Analog Chorus emulates the sound of vintage chorus pedals by implementing discontinued chips and circuitry.

The CMAT Mods Analog Phaser is a warm, versatile phase shifter that hearkens back to the classic phase tones of yesteryear. The effect is an all analog 4-stage design with hand-matched transistors that were tested to the closest possible tolerance for the warmest, most lush tone possible. The CMAT Mods Analog Phaser layout is simple with controls for Depth, Phase, and Level. The Depth controls the depth of the effect, Phase controls the speed, and Level allows the user to dial the effect to unity with their rig. Easy as pie but way better sounding, the CMAT Mods Analog Phaser makes it super simple to get great tone.

The Brownie is an all analog pedal based on the BSIAB circuit (officially licensed). It’s built to mimic a Marshall amp at full tilt so it has a lot of gain and sustain. You get the typical Level, Gain and Tone controls. Pedal can be run from a 9v battery or with a power supply. Oh, there’s a VERY bright blue LED. The circuit uses a JFET to generate the gain and you can switch this out for different types getting more or less gain. I tried the pedal with a JFET that should give it less gain but the difference wasn’t really that big, still, it is a nice feature!
