🧪 **THE LAB — Sonic Mutation Project** ⚡🎸

Welcome to THE LAB, where traditional guitar tone meets experimental sound design.

Built around the three innovative Kernom pedals — Ridge, Moho, and Elipse — this rig explores continuously morphing overdrive, fuzz, and modulation. Gamechanger Audio's MOTOR and LIGHT bring electromechanical synthesis and optical spring reverb into the equation, while Chase Bliss Onward, Red Panda Tensor, and Source Audio Artifakt introduce glitch, time manipulation, sampling, and sonic degradation.

A Morningstar MC6 Pro and ML5 provide MIDI-controlled presets and switching, while the Hotone Soul Press II serves as a wah, volume pedal, and continuous expression controller for real-time sonic transformations.

All of this feeds a DV Mark Raw Dawg 60, creating a compact, mono experimental guitar rig.

**No conventional rules. No limits on creativity. Just controlled sonic chaos.**

🧪 **THE LAB — Experiment. Mutate. Create.**

Onward is a sampler controlled by your playing. It moves when you do, capturing the sounds you make to create rich musical landscapes.

You will find responsive accompaniment, synthetic reimaginings, and a whole heap of glitching dreamscapes.

It has two sides – one freeze for soft, smooth sounds, and one glitch for angular, repeating sounds. Combine them into one moving mega-effect, or split them apart for waves of depth and dimension.

The Gamechanger Audio Motor Pedal is a highly unique electro-mechanical effect that uses a real, spinning brushed DC motor to generate audio. It tracks the pitch of your input signal (guitar, bass, synth, or voice) in real-time, matching the motor's rotational speed to the fundamental frequency you are playing. The pedal offers five unique sound engines: Motor (raw electromagnetic pickup), MXD (cross-modulation), M-Wave (pitch-locked digital oscillator), Coil Mode (resonant hums), and a 24-band Vocoder. It is a playable instrument with a spring-loaded foot controller that can act as an accelerator, brake, clutch, or volume pedal.

The MXR FOD Drive supplies the overdriven power of two highly coveted amp stacks in a single housing. Pros and tonechasers have been combining amplifiers on stage and in the studio for years, blending their sounds together and opening up new tonal palettes for exploration. Thanks to MXR's award-winning team of engineers, you can recreate that experience right from your pedalboard.

The MXR team got their hands on a pair of heavily customized guitar amplifiers of legendary make and model, reveled in thunderous bliss, and then pulled them apart for careful analysis. One of the amps was modified for super scooped high-gain saturation, while the other was modified for punchy midrange crunch. Played in tandem, the complementary tonal profiles revealed a harmonically complex palette of grit, grind, and maxed-out overdrive that sounded so incredible that the team knew they had to make it available to players around the world.

There is one overdrive circuit to this day has been the most talked about, the most sought after, and the most mythical of them all. It’s big, it’s expensive, and it has certainly earned its place at the table. Wampler has painstakingly and faithfully reproduced that magical tone in all its glory in an unbelievably small package, and its name is Tumnus. Tumnus is a versatile addition to any setup, any style. Stack it with another pedal to help push or shape the total amount of gain, use it as a stand alone overdrive, or use it as a slightly dirty boost to push the front end of your amp over the edge. You can even use it as a buffer, because just like the original this pedal is not true bypass. Instead, faithful to the original, this pedal contains a buffered bypass tone legendary in its own right. The Tumnus’ streamlined 3 control knobs (Volume, Gain, and Treble) allow you to quickly dial in your tones no matter what the gig calls for. We aren’t going to sit here and claim it has magical parts, or we sourced out 60 year old diodes that make it perfect, but we are going to say that during our research we looked at everything available and then only used the parts that Brian chose to replicate that amazing tone. Let’s face it, not everyone has room for a four-legged beast on their board. This smaller version slips in and out of a myriad of tight situations. Now you can have the tone. Now you can have history. Now you can have it all without having to sell your prized gear possessions. The Wampler Tumnus, standing up for that amazing tone, but without the outrageous claims often associated with it.
