Description

The Browne Amplification Ethane is a dual-overdrive pedal developed in collaboration with Andertons Music Co. that combines two of the company’s most popular circuits into a single enclosure. One side features the Carbon V2, a refined take on the classic Bluesbreaker circuit that includes a three-way high-cut toggle switch for tailoring high-frequency response. The opposite side houses the Gritador, a modified Tube Screamer-style overdrive re-engineered with asymmetrical clipping, a robust low end, and a balanced midrange. These two independent circuits can be used separately or stacked to create harmonically rich, high-gain lead tones. The pedal is designed with soft-touch footswitches, top-mounted jacks, and an internal switch to allow for split-mode operation with a pedal switcher. It is housed in a durable powder-coated chassis and is handcrafted in Kansas City, USA.
