Description
The Broughton Audio Gladius is an analog JFET preamp pedal designed to deliver clean, dynamic signal amplification and tone shaping. Built around an ultra low noise U406 JFET, the circuit is based on the original active Wal bass type E preamp. It features a continuous control in place of the original pick attack switch, providing a broad EQ boost between 2 kHz and 5 kHz by up to 10 dB for added bite and presence. The unit offers high low-noise gain capable of pushing signals to the edge of breakup without added hum, making it ideal for bassists and down-tuned instruments. It operates with standard true bypass switching to ensure dry signal integrity.Media
