Description
The Broughton Audio Ascalon is an original analog distortion pedal designed to capture the sound of classic 1970s solid-state transistor amplifiers such as the Peavey F800B and Traynor TS-50B. The circuit cascades the signal across six transistors, providing low-noise performance and rich harmonic saturation with low-end retention. Designed primarily for bass guitar while working equally well for guitar, it features a tilt-style EQ tone control to adjust the frequency response. Operating with true-bypass switching, the unit delivers tones ranging from subtle overdrive to heavy industrial distortion.Media
