PH-1R Phaser

PH-1R Phaser
PHASER
Description
Released in 1980 as an upgraded successor to the original PH-1, the circuit utilizes a four-stage operational-transconductance-amplifier (OTA) design. The addition of an active Resonance feedback control allows players to adjust filter intensity and harmonic sharpness. Standard Rate and Depth controls shape the overall sweep speed and modulation width across the frequency spectrum. The analog architecture produces warm, organic phase-shifting textures ranging from subtle modulation to deep swooshes. An integrated buffered electronic bypass circuit prevents significant high-frequency loss during standard signal transmission. Housed in the classic compact enclosure, the unit was manufactured in Japan until its discontinuation in the mid-1980s.
