Der Clover Preamp / Boost ist eine JHS Interpretation des FA-1, jedoch mit einigen zusätzlichen Funktionen, die diese erstaunliche Schaltung noch besser machen. Du wirst bei deinen Gigs  nicht auf diesen glücklichen Tonformer verzichten wollen! Der Clover ist eine End-All-Preamp / Boost für akustische und E-Gitarren und Bässe. Der EQ ist einfach, kraftvoll und lässt keinen schlechten Klang zu. Während der Clover sich als Vorstufe / Boost für Dirt-Pedale auszeichnet, liegt sein Zauber darin, deinen Tube-Amp in den natürlichen Overdrive zu treiben. Mit dem EQ kannst du deinen persönlichen Sweet Spot einstellen, an dem dein Verstärker nachgibt. Schiebe deinen kleinen Low-Watt Amp in natürlichen Overdrive und Distortion oder finde Sounds in stärkeren Amps, die du noch nie gehört hast. Strat- und Tele-Spieler können mit dem Clover mehr Schlagkraft, Tiefe und Dynamik erreichen, wie sie mit Single Coil Pickups normalerweise nicht möglich sind, während Les Pauls und Humbucker Klarheit, Biss und Definition in Hülle und Fülle erlangen! In early 1984 BOSS released two strange new devices under the name "The Pocket Series". One of those devices was the FA-1 FET Preamp and it quickly found its rightful place among the legends of tone when The Edge of U2 used it on the recording of "Unforgettable Fire" as well as placing it in his following touring rigs. The Clover Preamp/Boost is JHS' faithful interpretation of the FA-1 but with several additional features that they believe make this amazing circuit even better. Unlike faster non-optical circuits the 280 retains your high frequencies until you get into the more extreme settings. The 280 is ideal for chicken-pickin’, added sustain for leads, or snappy-slappy funk rhythm. The 280 also has enough output to be used as a lead boost with added compressor sustain. When we released our original Compressor back in 2011, it quickly became a favourite among guitar and bass players alike who were searching for something more than the typical oversimplified controls found on most compressor pedals. Although our original Compressor sounded great on bass (and still does!) we set out to do even better. 

On top of the full range of features and controls normally only seen in high end studio equipment, such as input and gain reduction metering, independent attack and release controls, a mix knob for parallel compression, and an external sidechain insert, we’ve now added a fully variable sidechain high pass filter, and a two position ‘tone + colour’ circuit which adds gentle tone sculpting and harmonic distortion, giving your bass some delicious character.

Und genau dieses Pedal bringt MXR nun in einer peniblen und fachkundigen Wiederauflage in Form des neuen ’74 Vintage Phase 90 heraus. Auf der per Hand verdrahteten Platine finden wir selektierte Widerstände genau wie aufeinander abgestimmte FET-Transistoren, um exakt den gleichen sanften und warmen Modulations-Sound wie beim Original zu erreichen. Das ’74 Vintage Phase 90 kommt verpackt in ein im klassischen Orange lackierten Alugehäuse, welches das unverwechselbare Script-Logo trägt. Dieses Pedal stellt ausschließlich der MXR Custom Shop her!

The MXR Phase 90 set the benchmark for phasers, with its thick and rich tone. Dunlop's in-house work horse, purchased in 1974, was meticulously specified and recreated as the '74 Vintage Phase 90. The hand-wired board features select resistors paired with handmatched FETs to achieve the same smooth and warm modulation as the original. The '74 Vintage Phase 90 comes housed in the classic orange finished box and is adorned with the unmistakable Script logo.

There is one overdrive circuit to this day has been the most talked about, the most sought after, and the most mythical of them all. It’s big, it’s expensive, and it has certainly earned its place at the table. Wampler has painstakingly and faithfully reproduced that magical tone in all its glory in an unbelievably small package, and its name is Tumnus. Tumnus is a versatile addition to any setup, any style. Stack it with another pedal to help push or shape the total amount of gain, use it as a stand alone overdrive, or use it as a slightly dirty boost to push the front end of your amp over the edge. You can even use it as a buffer, because just like the original this pedal is not true bypass. Instead, faithful to the original, this pedal contains a buffered bypass tone legendary in its own right. The Tumnus’ streamlined 3 control knobs (Volume, Gain, and Treble) allow you to quickly dial in your tones no matter what the gig calls for. We aren’t going to sit here and claim it has magical parts, or we sourced out 60 year old diodes that make it perfect, but we are going to say that during our research we looked at everything available and then only used the parts that Brian chose to replicate that amazing tone. Let’s face it, not everyone has room for a four-legged beast on their board. This smaller version slips in and out of a myriad of tight situations. Now you can have the tone. Now you can have history. Now you can have it all without having to sell your prized gear possessions. The Wampler Tumnus, standing up for that amazing tone, but without the outrageous claims often associated with it.

The NSG: Noise Gate comes as a response to these annoyances. Utilizing an adjustable threshold level to filter out sounds below a certain threshold, allowing for only the desired audio to be seized.

Der EHX Bass Micro Synthesizer ist ein reiner Bassgitarren-Synthesizer mit vollständig analoger Schaltung. Einstellbare Synthesizer-Parameter erzeugen satte, kraftvolle Klänge aus einer anderen Welt.  

Die Voice-Mix-Sektion ermöglicht die Mischung aus vier verschiedenen Stimmen: Sub-Octave, Guitar, Octave und Square Wave. Besonders die Square Wave sorgt für den charakteristischen, fuzzigen Klang des Bass Micro Synthesizers, der an den kosmischen Sound der 70er Jahre erinnert.  

Mit der Attack-Decay-Steuerung lassen sich gestrichene Effekte oder bedrohliche Lautstärkeschwankungen erzeugen, während die Filter-Sweep-Sektion das gesamte Frequenzspektrum durchläuft – von schnellen, präzisen Schnitten von Hoch nach Tief bis hin zu langsamen, fließenden Anstiegen von Tief nach Hoch.

The EHX Bass Micro Synthesizer is a pure bass guitar synthesizer with all analog circuitry. Adjustable synth parameters deliver fat, sweet tones from another world.

Its voice mix section lets you bring in 4 different voices: Sub Octave, Guitar, Octave, and Square Wave. The Square Wave gives the Bass Micro Snythesizer its signature, fuzzy growl that calls back to the cosmic ’70s .

An Attack Decay control creates bowed effects or ominous volume swells while the Filter Sweep section sweeps through the full frequency spectrum for sound from quick high to low chops and slow low to high blooms.

Mike Matthews, der Gründer von Electro-Harmonix, ist eine schillernde Figur. Die Hippie-Bewegung und die Evolution der E-Gitarre durch Jimi Hendrix diente ihm als Katalysator für die Entwicklung des bis heute populären Big Muff Verzerrers. Nach phänomenalem Wachstum seiner Firma in den goldenen Zeiten des Rock’n´Roll, den 1970er Jahren, folgte Anfang der 1980er die Ernüchterung – und schließlich die Pleite.

Mike Matthews, the founder of Electro-Harmonix, is a colorful figure. The hippie movement and Jimi Hendrix's evolution of the electric guitar served as a catalyst for him to develop the Big Muff distortion unit, which is still popular today. After phenomenal growth of his company in the golden age of rock'n'roll, the 1970s, disillusionment followed in the early 1980s - and finally bankruptcy.
