The BOSS ME-8 is a multi-effects guitar processor from the mid-90s that packed a full arsenal of BOSS’s classic analog and digital effects into a rugged floor unit. It features a built-in expression pedal, preamp section with analog overdrive/distortion, and a wide range of time-based and modulation effects like delay, chorus, flange, and pitch shift. With patch memory, MIDI capabilities, and intuitive footswitch control, the ME-8 offered gigging guitarists a versatile all-in-one rig before amp modeling became the norm.
