Description
This unit is a high-voltage, discrete Class A instrument preamplifier and active direct box. Designed with a minimal signal path, it combines a variable gain preamplifier with a specialized tone-shaping bank to handle low-level instrument signals. The front panel features a six-position passive rotary tone selector with pre-curved frequency responses alongside a high-cut filter switch to eliminate high-frequency noise. It accommodates a wide variety of acoustic and electric instruments via a very high input impedance, and it includes a high-level speaker input for capturing the live sound of an amplifier's output stage. Dual DC-coupled Class A output amplifiers provide simultaneous line-level and microphone-level feeds suitable for direct recording or live sound routing. Media
