The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. DOUBLE TAP is a Tap Tempo Foot Switch which has two separate outputs being controlled from one Foot Switch. The two outputs are totally separate circuits, and are therefore fully isolated from each other. 

DOUBLE TAP provides ultimate programming flexibility by the use of dip switches, which can be accessed by removing the side panels. 

Each output can be separately programmed as:

Dual Mid Frequency Equalizer

MIDTOWN ist ein Equalizer mit zwei Mittenbändern, der für präzise Kontrolle über den Mittenfrequenzbereich entwickelt wurde. Die High Mid EQ-Sektion bietet einen Bandpass-Equalizer mit einer einstellbaren Mittenfrequenz von 1,5 kHz bis 12 kHz. Die Low Mid EQ-Sektion stellt wahlweise einen Bandpass- oder Shelving-EQ zur Verfügung, mit einem Frequenzbereich von 100 Hz bis 800 Hz. Beide Bänder bieten einen Regelbereich von +/-12 dB zur Anhebung oder Absenkung der jeweiligen Frequenzen.

Die Low Mid EQ-Sektion ermöglicht über den PEAK/SHELF-Schalter die Wahl zwischen Bandpass- und Shelving-Charakteristik. Die PEAK-Einstellung erlaubt eine gezielte Bearbeitung eines bestimmten Frequenzbereichs, während die SHELF-Einstellung eine breitere, tonale Formung des unteren Mittenbereichs ermöglicht.

Der MASTER-Level-Regler bietet eine Gesamtlautstärkeanpassung von +/-10 dB nach der EQ-Sektion. Für den direkten Anschluss an professionelle Audiosysteme kann optional ein XLR-Adapter verwendet werden, um ein symmetrisches Ausgangssignal bereitzustellen.

Durch den erweiterten Hochfrequenzbereich eignet sich MIDTOWN besonders für Akustikgitarristen, die mehr Klarheit und Brillanz wünschen. Für Bassgitarrenanwendungen kann die präzise Frequenzkontrolle verwendet werden, um unerwünschte Dröhnfrequenzen zu reduzieren. Eine Low Mid Shelf-EQ-Einstellung sorgt bei jedem Instrument für zusätzliche Wärme und Tiefe.

Die Position von MIDTOWN in der Effektkette hängt davon ab, wie das Pedal eingesetzt wird. Früh in der Kette ermöglicht es, die Mittencharakteristik des Gitarrentons zu formen, bevor dieser auf Gain- oder Zerrpedale trifft. Wird MIDTOWN hingegen am Ende der Kette platziert, bietet es eine abschließende Mitten-EQ-Bearbeitung vor dem Verstärker oder Mischpult. In dieser Position kann der MASTER-Regler verwendet werden, um den finalen Pegel optimal im Mix abzustimmen.


Dual Mid Frequency Equalizer

MIDTOWN is a dual-band equalizer designed for precise control over mid-range frequencies. The High Mid EQ section offers a bandpass EQ with a centre frequency adjustable from 1.5 kHz to 12 kHz. The Low Mid EQ section provides a bandpass or shelving EQ with a centre frequency range of 100 Hz to 800 Hz. Both bands offer a +/-12 dB cut/boost range via their respective level controls.
The Low Mid EQ section offers both bandpass and shelving equalization curves via the PEAK/SHELF switch. The PEAK setting delivers focused frequency manipulation, while the SHELF setting enables broad, tonal shaping of the lower mid-range spectrum.

The MASTER level control provides +/-10 dB of overall output level adjustment, applied post-EQ. For direct connection to professional audio systems, an optional XLR adapter enables a balanced output.
The MIDTOWN pedal's extended high-frequency range makes it particularly well-suited for acoustic guitarists seeking enhanced clarity and brilliance. For bass guitar applications, the precise frequency control can be used to manage unwanted boominess. A Low Mid Shelf EQ setting produces significant warmth and depth from any instrument's tone.

Position in the effects pedal chain will be determined by how MIDTOWN will be used. Early in the chain will allow you to finetune the mid frequency contour of your guitar’s tone before it hits any gain or distortion effects. Alternatively, placing MIDTOWN last provides a final mid tone equalisation before the signal enters the amplifier or mixing deck. When used in this way, the MASTER level control can be used to adjust the final output level to sit perfectly in the mix.

Tone Overdrive And Distortion

TOAD ist mehr als nur ein Overdrive-Pedal – es ist ein vielseitiges Werkzeug zur Klangformung. Zwar liefert es hervorragenden Overdrive, doch seine Fähigkeiten gehen weit darüber hinaus. Mit zurückgedrehtem GAIN-Regler und dem passenden TADPOLE eingesetzt, kann TOAD deinen Cleansound dezent formen und ihm Klarheit, Wärme oder andere gewünschte Eigenschaften verleihen. So kannst du deinen Clean-Ton präzise auf jede musikalische Situation abstimmen. Bei niedrig eingestelltem GAIN kann TOAD deinem Signal einen Hauch harmonischer Fülle oder eine subtile Schärfe hinzufügen – es veredelt den Klang, ohne ihn zwingend in Overdrive zu treiben. Alternativ kannst du das Gain komplett unangetastet lassen und TOAD als sauberen Boost verwenden. Diese Dynamik macht TOAD zu einem unverzichtbaren Werkzeug für alle Gitarristen, die präzise Kontrolle über ihren Sound suchen – egal, ob sie Overdrive oder einen verfeinerten Clean-Ton anstreben. Diese klangliche Flexibilität ist nicht sofort offensichtlich – also: ausprobieren und das volle Potenzial des TOAD entdecken!

Der PRE TONE-Regler verändert die Höhen- und Tiefencharakteristik des Signals, bevor es in die Gain- oder Zerrstufen gelangt. So lässt sich der natürliche Klang der Gitarre anpassen, noch bevor ein Effekt greift. Die GAIN-Sektion bietet zwei Overdrive-Stufen mit der Möglichkeit, zwischen symmetrischer (NATURAL-Einstellung) und asymmetrischer Verzerrung (DARK-Einstellung) zu wählen. Symmetrisches Clipping verhält sich ähnlich wie die Übersteuerung von Röhrenvorstufen, während asymmetrisches Clipping eher an die Sättigung alter Transistorschaltungen erinnert.

Nach den Zerrstufen ermöglichen die POST TONE- und CHOKE-Regler eine gezielte Anpassung der Höhen- und Tiefenanteile des bearbeiteten Signals. Mit dem LEVEL-Regler lässt sich schließlich die Lautstärke des Ausgangssignals einstellen.


Tone Overdrive And Distortion

TOAD is more than just an overdrive pedal — it's a versatile tone-shaping tool. While it excels at delivering rich overdrive, its capabilities extend far beyond.  With the GAIN control dialled back and the appropriate TADPOLE installed, TOAD can subtly sculpt your clean tone, adding clarity, warmth, or other desired characteristics.  This allows you to fine-tune your clean sound for any musical context.
With these low GAIN settings, TOAD can introduce just a touch of harmonic richness or a subtle bite to your signal, enhancing your tone without necessarily pushing it into overdrive.  Alternatively, you can leave the gain completely untouched for a clean boost.  This dynamic range makes the TOAD an invaluable asset for any guitarist seeking precise control over their sound, regardless of whether they're aiming for overdrive or a refined clean tone.  This tonal flexibility might not be immediately obvious, so experiment and discover the TOAD's full potential!

The PRE TONE control changes the high and low frequency contour of the signal before it hits any gain or distortion stages. This allows you to change the natural tone of the guitar before applying any effect.
The GAIN section has 2 stages of overdrive with the option for selecting Symmetrical (NATURAL setting) or Asymmetrical clipping (DARK setting). Symmetrical clipping exhibits similar characteristics to tube/valve pre-amplifiers.  Asymmetrical clipping is more reminiscent  of vintage transistor saturation.

After the distortion stages, the POST TONE and CHOKE controls allow you to tailor the high and low frequency content of the modified signal.

The LEVEL control adjusts the final output level of your sound.

The BOSS DS-1 is without a doubt one of the most famous distortion pedals out there.
Since the late ’70s and until today, this little orange pedal offers a compressed, British stack style distortion with an easy control layout – Distortion, Tone and Level.

The BOSS DS-1 is not a subtle pedal but not brutal either, it retains its characteristics with most type of pickups and it is really a great pedal for beginners and pros alike.

This digital multi-mode envelope filter and auto-wah pedal is designed to provide versatile frequency-sweeping effects for both guitar and bass.
