Beta-V Bass Preamp

Beta MKII is a beefed-up version of the original Beta circuit, giving you plenty of tube-like gain without the fizz or hassle. Two modes of operation dictate the amount of grime, tonal colorization, or both. These modes are Preamp and Overdrive.

The Beta MKII’s Preamp side disengages the Gain control for a smooth, even-keeled preamp colorization. Both Tone and Volume controls are active in this position, for a subtle sweetening that you’ll never turn off—think of those old Muscle Shoals tones or an Ampeg B15 Portaflex.

Der SolidGoldFX Imperial MKII ist ein Gatete-Fuzz-Effektpedal, das vom JEN Jumbo Fuzz der 1970er-Jahre inspiriert ist und satte, kraftvolle Fuzz-Sounds sowie eine dynamische Ansprache für Gitarre, Bass oder Synth bietet. Es verwendet eine JFET-Vorverstärker-Schaltung mit hoher Impedanz für ein geringes Rauschverhalten und feine Detailwiedergabe, vier Slideregler zur Kontrolle von Volume, Tone, Contour (Mittenformung) und Fuzz sowie ein verbessertes Rauschgate für nahezu kein Rauschen bei hohen Verzerrungsstufen. Das Pedal hat oben angeordnete Buchsen, zwei LED-Anzeigeleuchten für Bypass- und Gate-Status und eine True-Bypass-Schaltung für unbearbeiteten Klang im Bypass-Modus. Es wird in Kanada handgefertigt und hat ein retro-inspiriertes Design.

Upon first glance at the Imperial MKII, you might be intrigued by its charmingly retro appearance. Inspired by the JEN Jumbo fuzz, which is one of our personal favorite vintage fuzzes, the Imperial MKII’s four sliders, textured black paint and bold red graphics show that this pedal means business.

If a ripping, royally raucous fuzz, with impeccable manners, is what you seek in your tone conquest or whether you are chasing those soaring Gilmour-esque leads that propel you to the far side of the moon, then look no further than the Imperial MKII.

So, what is the JEN Jumbo Fuzz and what makes it so awesome? JEN Elettronica was an Italian manufacturer who made pedals for Vox, Dallas Arbiter and Sound City (among others), in addition to making equipment under their own brand. The Jumbo Fuzz was their spin on the venerable EHX Big Muff® that swapped the knobs out for sliders and added a nifty germanium noise gate. In terms of sound, the tuning of the Jumbo Fuzz lies somewhere in the Ram’s Head camp - not overly scooped or woofy, with a nice gain range - just a great sounding pedal!

While the Jumbo’s noise gate is a great feature and gives this BMP variant a unique attack with practically zero noise, vintage units vary greatly from one unit to another, with some gating too much and others not at all. Capturing the Jumbo Fuzz’s vibe and redesigning the gate was essential to our Imperial redesign. Let’s dive in…

The SolidGoldFX Lysis MKII is a polyphonic octave fuzz modulator pedal that blends a discrete analog fuzz circuit with digital polyphonic voice and filter generation. It offers multiple voicings including octave down, octave up, and power chord settings, selectable high-pass and low-pass filters with adjustable resonance, and three wave modes with 33 different preset LFO settings. It includes a tap tempo LFO with ramping and braking features, fully assignable expression input, and soft touch true bypass switching. The design is intended to expand creative possibilities by merging synth-like modulation and filtering with rich fuzz tones.

Lysis MKII

The Surf Rider III is an updated and expanded variation of our classic Surf Rider reverb designed to deliver an incredible array of warm, lush, 3-dimensional reverb tones in one compact pedal. The Surf Rider III’s rich feature makes it easy to dial in the perfect shade of verb. Using the Decay and Resonance controls, the length and decay of the reverb signal can be fine-tuned to simulate the sounds of small rooms, gated verbs, dense ambient washes and of course, classic amp and surf sounds. The depth and level controls give end users full access to the overall intensity and output of the pedal while the tone knob allows for fine adjustment of the reverb timbre making it easy to pair with any rig. A foot-switchable reverb level boost adds an additional reverb voicing while an expression pedal input offers on the fly Depth adjustments giving users the ability to create crashing tidal waves of sound. Whether you are looking for a highly musical traditional reverb or a more over the top saturated sound the new Surf Rider III is sure to please.

Features:

Tone: Turning this knob to the left will make the reverb darker while turning to the right will make the reverb brighter.
Res: This 3 position switch controls the resonance of the reverb signal by way of negative feedback. With the switch in the center position, the resonance circuit is bypassed. An internal trimpot allows you to dial in the low setting (down position) while the high setting (up position) is fixed.
Decay: This knob controls the decay time of the reverb signal thus creating a vast range of sounds from small rooms to more ambient tones in addition to classic surf reverb.
Depth: This controls the intensity of the reverb signal. When using the expression pedal input, set the Depth knob to the maximum desired setting. We recommend using the M-Audio EXP or Mission Engineering EP-1R Expression pedals.
Level: This controls the mix level or volume of the reverb signal. This control is active in both Hi and Lo level settings.
Boost footswitch: This switch allows you to boost or cut the reverb level. When the Boost LED is on, the Hi level mode is engaged. When the Boost LED is off, the Lo level is engaged and a portion of the reverb level is reduced. An internal trimpot allows you to adjust to level reduction of the Lo setting. Turning the trimpot clockwise will reduce the overall reverb level of the Lo setting.
Bypass switch: Allows you to engage or bypass the effect. The Surf Rider III is True Bypass.
