Mit der Verstärkung auf Minimum (+20 dB = 10X) sind wir im Bereich des Soft Sustain, wie wir es bei unseren SS-2 und SS-3 finden, und die Einbeziehung eines leistungsstarken aktiven Dreiband-EQs hat selbst die niedrigsten Verstärkungseinstellungen verbessert und einen neuen Bonus an Klang und Lautstärke gebracht. Ein wunderbar weicher und transparenter Blues Crunch ist ein Feature bei niedrigen Verstärkungseinstellungen, und der leistungsstarke EQ ist ein großer Teil des Klangs, wobei selbst kleine Änderungen maximale Klangflexibilität für jeden Verstärker bieten. Der GC-1 hat eine erstaunliche Bottom-End-Retention und klingt raffiniert und warm, ohne „matschig“ zu werden.

his is a completely new unique three stage design which features both hard and soft clipping stages with automatic switching between them as the gain increases, and also has a wider gain range than any of our previous pedals making it perfect for live performance and recording.

With the gain set to minimum (+20dB=10X) we are in the area of Soft Sustain as found on our SS-2 and SS-3 and the inclusion of a three band powerful active EQ has enhanced even the lowest gain settings giving a new bonus of tone and volume. A wonderfully Smooth and Transparent Blues Crunch is a feature at low gain settings and the powerful EQ is a huge part of the sound with even small changes giving maximum tonal flexibility to suit any amp. The GC-1 has amazing Bottom End Retention and is Refined and Warm sounding without getting”muddy”.

Neu für 2016 ist mein einzigartiger Tone and Volume Boost - der 3Q-1™. Der 3Q-1™ ist keine Variante eines bestehenden Produkts, sondern ein völlig neues und originelles Design.

Der Eingang ist vollständig gepuffert mit unserem LD-1 Class A Unity Gain Line Driver und HF-Filter, der auch im Bypass-Modus aktiv ist. Die erste Stufe des 3Q-1™ ist ein linearer Boost mit variabler Verstärkung und flachem Frequenzgang - der Verstärkungsbereich des Boosts reicht von 0 bis +20 dB (10X). Auf den linearen (Clean) Boost mit variabler Verstärkung folgt ein aktiver Dreiband-EQ mit Frequenzen, die ich speziell auf Gitarren zugeschnitten habe. Da die drei Tonbänder aktiv sind, können sie je nach Wunsch sowohl abgesenkt als auch angehoben werden, wobei der Nullpunkt bzw. der neutrale Punkt bei 12 Uhr auf jedem Regler liegt.

Der Vorteil dieser aktiven Tonschaltung gegenüber der üblichen passiven (nur Cut) Tonschaltung ist, dass die drei Bänder völlig unabhängig sind und es keine Wechselwirkung zwischen den Tonreglern für Bass, Middle und Treble gibt.

Ein Ausgangs-Master-Volume ist vorhanden, um eine perfekte Anpassung zwischen Bypass und verstärktem/EQ-Signalpegel zu ermöglichen, und es ist reichlich Headroom vorhanden, um die Verstärkereingänge bei Bedarf zu übersteuern.

The Input is fully buffered using our LD-1 Class A unity gain line driver and RF filter which is also active in bypass mode. The first stage of the 3Q-1™ is a variable gain linear boost with flat frequency response - the gain range of the boost is 0 to +20dB (10X). Following on from the variable gain Linear (Clean) Boost is a three band active EQ using frequencies I have specifically tailored to suit guitars. Being active, the three tone bands can be both cut and boosted as desired with the zero or neutral point being 12 o'clock on each control knob.

The benefits of this active tone circuit, compared to the usual passive (Cut only) tone circuit is that the three bands are completely independent and there is no inter-reaction between the Bass, Middle and Treble tone controls.

An output Master Volume is included to allow for perfect matching between bypassed and boosted/EQ’d signal level and there is plenty of signal headroom available to overdrive amp inputs if required.

The input to this unique device is our universally acclaimed High Impedance, Unity Gain, Class A, Buffer Preamp with it's superior RFI rejecting capability (to eliminate Radio Station interference) and Low Impedance Audio output.

The BD-1™ is not a variant of any existing product but an entirely new and original design. Initially designed for Bass Guitar, the BD-1™ has also proved very popular with Baritone Guitars and dropped tuned Guitars when heavy overdrive is required at the lower frequencies of these instruments. With Germanium components for added musicality, this new design features full Bottom-End retention and is flat down to below the bottom B on five string basses.

The tone controls are very powerful and feature an active boost and cut with a combined range of 34dB at maximum settings. Being active, the two-tone bands can be both cut and boosted as desired, with the zero or neutral point being 12 o'clock on each control knob. I have included a second linear boost stage after the tone circuit to compensate for any reduction in overall volume when the tones are in “cut” mode.

The benefits of this active tone circuit, compared to the usual passive (Cut only) tone circuit, is that the two bands are completely independent and there is no interaction between the Bass and Treble tone controls. An output Master Volume is included to allow for perfect matching between bypassed and overdriven and EQ’d signal level and there is plenty of signal headroom available to overdrive amp inputs if required.

My well established Class A input buffer and radio frequency suppressor are, of course, included and the output buffer impedance is low to easily drive long cables or other loads without loss of signal or tone.

Unser rauscharmer Klasse-A-Vorverstärker mit integriertem Schaltkreis wurde speziell entwickelt, um die Probleme zu überwinden, die bei der Verstärkung von akustischen Instrumenten mit Keramik-Tonabnehmern häufig auftreten. Our low noise integrated circuit Class A pre-amplifier has been specifically designed to overcome the problems often encountered with amplification of Acoustic Instruments fitted with ceramic transducers. A frequent cause of these problems is the mismatch of level and impedance in the electrical circuit between the pickup and the amplifier: this mismatch has been completely eliminated with the introduction of our Acoustic Instrument Preamp/ D.I Unit.
