The Kongpressor is an analogue Class A compression pedal which adds an organic three dimensional quality to any rig. The pedal takes its inspiration from some of the world’s most iconic vintage optical studio units, employing a re-issue of the famous vactrol VTL5C3 optocoupler that was responsible for the sound heard on countless hit records.

At lower compression levels the Kongpressor’s effect is transparent but somehow fattening. It adds mojo and a glossy sheen to your core tone that you’ll truly miss when it’s bypassed. Even at extreme settings, the tone always remains musical with great feel under the fingers.

Das Catalinbread Belle Epoch Delay-Effektpedal orientiert sich am Sound des legendären Maestro Echoplex EP-3, das in den 1970er Jahren zum Arsenal diverser Helden des Rock gehörte, darunter solche Namen wie Brian May, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour oder Eric Johnson. Sie setzten das Delay oft und gerne ein, neben dem warm klingenden Bandecho-Sound auch wegen seines Preamps, mit dem man einen Amp noch etwas heißer anfahren und zu etwas mehr Zerre überreden konnte.

 The Catalinbread Belle Epoch Tape Echo, has tape echo sounds so authentic you’d swear there was tape inside the pedal! Inspired by the Maestro Echoplex, EP-3 model, perhaps the most famous tape delay ever, the Belle Epoch features everything we love about the EP-3 in a small, maintenance free pedal format. We felt that a “tape echo” pedal was much more than just a standard digital delay with some “filtering” on the repeats. There are a lot of subtle and not-so-subtle traits of the Echoplex that needed to be implemented in order to be authentic. The preamp, the self-oscillation character, the ability to control the “record level” of the signal hitting “tape”, the wow and flutter, the way the repeats decay, the way the circuit interfaces with the amp and other pedals – all these things were important to get right. The original unit was used as a musical instrument unto itself and this is what we captured with the Belle Epoch.

Catalinbread’s Talisman plate reverb is touted as a homage to the plate reverbs of the 70s, famously used on Pink Floyds iconic Dark Side of the Moon album. To clarify, according to Musician on a Mission, plate reverb is “a clever way of imitating the way sound reverberates through a room. Plate reverb units are big, enclosed cases. Hanging inside of the case is a thin metal sheet, aka the “plate.” When a sound is played into a plate reverb unit, vibrations inside of the case create the illusion of reverb“.

Die wohl beste Geheimwaffe, von der du wahrscheinlich noch nicht wusstest, dass du sie brauchst! Gerade wir Pedal-Nerds laufen Gefahr unseren Sound mit endlosen Pedalketten in den Ruin zu treiben. Der Feind heißt Kapazität, ein Problem das bei zu langen Kabelwegen undn ich zuletzt schlechten Schaltungen auftritt und das Signal High End kostet und es schwach und charakterlos klingen lässt. Ein Trugschluss, der dies noch unterstützt is die Annahme dass True Bypass immer gut ist, denn ganz stimmt dies leider nicht. Der Little Black Buffer kommt genau hier ins Spiel und versorgt dein Rig mit genau der richtigen Eingangsimpedanz, damit du am Ende einen klaren, natürlichen Sound hast, der klingt als hättest du dich direkt in den Amp gestöpselt.

This may be the greatest weapon you didn’t know you needed. For those of us who are a little “pedal happy” there can be some downfall to our tone. When running a pedal board with more than one or two effects, something called “capacitance” happens. This natural problem happens due to the amount of cable or line that your signal has to travel through, not to mention bad switching systems in certain pedals. The result is a very audible amount of high-end loss, weak signal, flabby bass and uncharacteristic pickup behavior in guitars. Another problem is the assumption that all “true bypass” is good. This isn’t true and actually can be worse than imagined. This is where the “Little Black Buffer” steps in providing the perfect input impedance to your rig and giving you the final result of clear, natural tone that sounds like you're plugged straight into your amp.

The Morning Glory Clean is a logical evolution of the classic Morning Glory overdrive. The goal was to further improve transparency, dynamics, and attack without losing its familiar character. At its core is a completely redesigned circuit with a studio-quality parallel clean blend, combining the harmonics, subtle compression, and punch of the overdrive with the full bass and dynamic range of the clean signal.

The clean control isn't a simple mix control; it's an integral part of the circuit. A dual potentiometer ensures that the clean and drive signals blend proportionally and in phase across all gain settings—without any volume jumps. Der Whitey Tighty Compressor ist JHS Pedals Version des klassischen Effekts, den man angeschaltet nicht hört, dafür aber schmerzlich vermisst, wenn er ausgeschaltet ist. Der Whitey Tighty ist so simpel gehalten, dass er deinem Setup und deinem Sound nie im Weg steht, durch das kompakte Mini-Format lässt er sich außerdem problemlos in jedes Pedalboard integrieren. Durch die Möglichkeit Kompression und Clean Signal stufenlos zu mischen hat jeder die Chance seinen perfekten Sound zu finden. Das Pedal arbeitet mit drei intuitiven Regelmöglichkeiten für Volume, Compression und Blend. Mit dem Volume-Regler lässt sich das Level auf Unity Gain einstellen oder leicht boosten, um den wahrgenommenen Verlust durch die Kompression auszugleichen. Der Compression-Regler regelt die Stärke der Kompression von einer subtilen 'Glättung' des Signals bis zu einem ansprechenden Squash, der sich perfekt für Country, Blues, Pop und Rock eignet. Über den Blend-Regler kann man das Verhältnis aus Clean Signal und komprimiertem Signal einzustellen. Auf diese Weise erhält man den natürlichen Klang des Instruments und erhält gleichzeitig eine Kompression in Studioqualität, die deinen Sound auf die nächste Stufe hebt.

The Volume control gives you the ability to set your volume at unity gain or slightly boosted to make up for any perceived loss from the compression. The Compression knob controls the amount of compression for everything from a subtle smoothing of your tone to a pleasing squash that’s perfect for country, blues, pop, and rock. Use the Blend knob to dial in the right amount of clean tone along with your compressed signal. Die JHS Colour Box V2 ist ein Preamp / DI-Box nach dem Vorbild legendärer Neve Studio-Konsolen. Das Pedal wurde entwickelt um den authentischen Sound eines Instruments (oder Mikrofons) am Direct-In der Mischpulte zu reproduzieren, dabei bietet die Colour Box V2 alle Features der beliebten V1-Version und kommt zusätzlich mit einer Vielzahl an Verbesserungen und neuen Features, die das Pedal zu einem perfekten Allrounder und Always-On Pedal für alle denkbaren Instrumente und sogar für Sänger machen. Zu den neuen Features zählen eine erweiterte EQ-Sektion, ein Hi/Lo Schalter für massiven, cleanen Headroom und die Möglichkeit 48V Phantom-Power an Kondensator-Mikrofone weiterzugeben. Die Gain-Sektion (Rot) bietet Regelmöglichkeiten Master, Pre-Vol und Step. Master kontrolliert das Gesamt-Volume des Pedals, Pre-Vol arbeitet als Gain-Regler zwischen den beiden internen Gain Stages und bietet bei Bedarf eine Verzerrung, die von leichten Break-Up-Sounds bis zu Fuzz reicht. Der Step-Regler verändert das Gain der Preamp Stages in fünf Schritten. Der Hi/Lo Schalter verändert den cleanen Headroom des Pedals, der -20 dB Pad Schalter passt den Input bei Bedarf an Mikrofone mit einem hohen Ausgangspegel an. Die EQ-Sektion (Blau) wurden neben den bekannten Regler für Treble, Middle und Bass (+/- 17 dB Cut / Boost in jedem Band) um drei Shift-Regler erweitert, die den Frequenzbereich der einzelnen Regler anpassen. Die Hi-Pass-Sektion wird über den Kippschalter aktiviert. Um das Pedal so flexibel wie möglich zu halten steht ein kombinierter XLR/TRS Input zur Verfügung.

The JHS Colour Box V2 has all the same functionality of the popular V1 version with many new and improved additions like expanded EQ controls, a Hi/Lo switch for massive clean headroom, and the ability to pass phantom power to your condenser mics. The Gain section in red has three controls: Master, Pre-Vol, and Step. The Master volume controls the overall volume of the unit. The Pre-Vol controls the amount of gain between the two internal gain stages. This acts as a "drive" or "gain" control, adding more grit, distortion, and even fuzz as you increase the gain. The Step control increases the gain of each preamp stage in five stages. Rotating the Step knob from left-to-right will increase the gain by the following: 1st is +18 dB, 2nd is +23 dB, 3rd is +28 dB, 4th is +33 dB, 5th is +39 dB. The JHS Colour Box V2 has a new Hi/Lo switch to control the amount of clean headroom you have available. In the Lo mode, you will easily be able to get ultra clean sounds without breakup. Lo Mode is excellent for tone shaping when distortion is not needed. In the Hi mode, the Colour Box V2 will distort much more readily, giving you a broad spectrum of overdrive, distortion, and fuzz sounds. In addition to the Hi / Lo gain switch, there is a -20 dB pad switch on the right side of the Colour Box V2. This function only works when in XLR input mode and can help tame the volume for high output microphones. The EQ section in blue has three new Shift controls correlating to its standard Treble, Middle and Bass controls. The Shift knobs adjust the range of frequencies that the Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs control. The center frequencies for the Shift knobs are Treble 10kHz, Middle 1kHz, and Bass 120Hz, while the Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs boost or cut with +/- 17 dB of control. If you want to boost high-mid frequencies, turn the Mid Shift knob to 3 o'clock or above and increase the Middle knob above 12 o'clock. If you want to cut upper treble frequencies, turn the Treble Shift knob to 3 o'clock or above and set the Treble knob below 12 o'clock. The Shift knobs give you precision control over the EQ for anything you put through the Colour Box V2. The Hi-Pass section is enabled by the toggle switch below the Hi-Pass knob. Just flip it up to engage the Hi-Pass knob, which spans from 60Hz to 800Hz with a 6dB per octave slope. The Colour Box V2 has a combination XLR and 1/4" input jack to use either an instrument or microphone. Select your input with the input selector switch on the right side of the pedal labeled INST/XLR.

The JHS Pedals Summing Amp gives you the ability to take two inputs and blend them into one output. This is perfect for putting effects in parallel so that they are not affected by one another. The Edge used this technique in the 80s with his delays. When you have a quarter note delay and a dotted eighth delay and you place them in parallel then sum them back together, the effect is that both delays come through more clearly and are not "delaying the delays". This can also be used with overdrives so that they are not pushing each other as in series, but sit atop one another in parallel. Another use is combining fuzz and compression in parallel so the fuzz isn't getting choked by the compression. The Summing Amp gives you the ability to use effects together in completely new ways that you may never have imagined and can open up new and inspiring sounds with your old effects.

The Emperor V2 is a vintage-correct effect that absolutely nails the hard-to-find sound of the Arion SCH-1...but its also a do-it-all modulation solution whether you want a subtle sheen, convincing rotary simulation, or seasick vibrato. It utilizes a Bucket Brigade 3207 chipset to deliver the warmth of 80s-style analog chorus pedals and JHS have added enough onboard and outboard control to put you in command of every aspect of the Emperors voice. The Milkman is a collaborative idea between Josh Scott of JHS Pedals and Tim Marcus of Milkman Sound. The concept is simple; a single pedal that offers up an echo/slap delay and a boost that can be used as an always-on enhancer or as an overdrive for small wattage amplifiers. The right side of the pedal is the boost side - a discreet amplifier based circuit with tons of power and character. The left side of the pedal is the echo/slap delay circuit. This circuit is designed to be a hybrid of tape echo and analog BBD delay.
