"One pedalboard to rule them all"

Gain pedal are essential for me, if they doesn't sound good for the music am playing, it's better to take it off the board.

My thoughts about modulation pedals ... they play a huge role on your pedalboard, but am more a "set and forget it" kind of person.

Polytune 3 Mini

This compact analog dynamics processor functions as a versatile four-knob compressor built around a traditional operational transconductance amplifier circuit topology. It updates vintage squeeze behaviors by implementing an onboard parallel processing layout, utilizing a dedicated blend control to mix unaffected dry instrumentation with the compressed path to protect natural note definition. Individual control knobs govern output volume, compression severity, and attack recovery speed to alter the response from crisp percussive clicks to smooth musical sustain. A physical pad toggle switch optimizes input sensitivity by attenuating high-voltage signals, allowing it to interface cleanly with hot humbucker pickups and active bass guitar electronics. Audio signal paths are entirely preserved when disengaged using mechanical true-bypass hardware switching.

Octava is an all-analog octave fuzz / frequency doubler featuring an on-board low pass Filter control that allows you to achieve singing octave up tones anywhere on the neck, without adjusting your guitar’s tone control. A front-end Drive and gushing Fuzz circuit add signal power and easily convert Octava to shoegazey fuzz pedal capable of producing devastating, full-wave rectified distortion. Use the Blend knob to mix the octave up effect on top of your dialed-in drive.

Designed in conjunction with indie pedal builder Analog Man, the MXR Duke of Tone Overdrive is for players who want to add a touch of warmth and grit to their rig while allowing the natural tone and feel of their high-end gear to shine. Based on the Prince of Tone Overdrive, the single-channel version of the King of Tone Overdrive, this pedal is a vintage connoisseur’s dream come true. Analog Mike personally tested and matched all of the various thru-hole components to the King of Tone Overdrive, ensuring that sweet sonic seasoning stays in the line of succession: a warm-yet-clear-and-open sound that allows all of the nuances of your signal chain to come through, from your individual guitar strings to the dynamics of your amp’s tubes.

The Duke of Tone Overdrive likewise carries forward the same simple-yet-effective control interface. Volume, Drive, and Tone knobs cover all your basic tweaks while the Boost/OD/Distortion switch allows you to set the overall attitude of the pedal’s output. Boost mode gives you a clean-yet-vigorous bump, OD mode adds a touch of grit and compression, and Distortion mode adds a touch more of each. In all modes, your rig still sounds like your rig. Don’t be afraid to get creative—the Duke of Tone Overdrive is excellent when stacked with other gain pedals, and running the pedal on 18V will give you an extra helping of headroom and clarity, especially in Boost mode.
For a sound that’s yours, but only more of it, you can’t do better than the Duke of Tone Overdrive from MXR and Analog Man. Put one on your pedalboard, and elevate your signal chain.

DUKE OF TONE OVERDRIVE [CSP0399]

There is one overdrive circuit to this day has been the most talked about, the most sought after, and the most mythical of them all. It’s big, it’s expensive, and it has certainly earned its place at the table. Wampler has painstakingly and faithfully reproduced that magical tone in all its glory in an unbelievably small package, and its name is Tumnus. Tumnus is a versatile addition to any setup, any style. Stack it with another pedal to help push or shape the total amount of gain, use it as a stand alone overdrive, or use it as a slightly dirty boost to push the front end of your amp over the edge. You can even use it as a buffer, because just like the original this pedal is not true bypass. Instead, faithful to the original, this pedal contains a buffered bypass tone legendary in its own right. The Tumnus’ streamlined 3 control knobs (Volume, Gain, and Treble) allow you to quickly dial in your tones no matter what the gig calls for. We aren’t going to sit here and claim it has magical parts, or we sourced out 60 year old diodes that make it perfect, but we are going to say that during our research we looked at everything available and then only used the parts that Brian chose to replicate that amazing tone. Let’s face it, not everyone has room for a four-legged beast on their board. This smaller version slips in and out of a myriad of tight situations. Now you can have the tone. Now you can have history. Now you can have it all without having to sell your prized gear possessions. The Wampler Tumnus, standing up for that amazing tone, but without the outrageous claims often associated with it.
