Introduced by VOX in 1967, the wah-wah pedal evolved from the mid-range boost function of a VOX amplifier and was initially marketed as a way to emulate the sound of a muted trumpet. However, it was soon reworked for rock guitarists and re-released as the V846 to keep pace with its unintended but music-changing use on electric guitars by famous artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. From the 1960s to today, the wah pedal has become an indispensable tool for guitarists.

The new V846 Vintage Wah pedal perfectly replicates this second wah model down to the component level. VOX engineers have worked hard to unlock the secrets of the Vintage V846 wah model, and the result is a pedal that meticulously recreates its exact tonal characteristics.

The V846 Vintage has an assertive sound profile with an extended frequency response and a strong emphasis on high frequencies - perfect for combining with fuzz for classic rock sounds.

The EHX Pitch Fork transposes an instrument’s pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

This special edition features an all-new finish to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s monumental release in 1994: Dookie. The pedal captures the tones of two heavily modified amplifiers used by Billie Joe Armstrong on that record—one scooped and high-gain, the other with a well-defined midrange—and allows you to mix them via a blend control. If you want extra scoop in the midrange of the overall output signal, just hit the Scoop switch. The High Gain and Crunch Gain sections each have their own controls, while the Blend control lets you dial the ratio of those signals. This pedal isn’t just for Green Day fans—it offers a harmonic range of overdriven tones for a playing experience full of depth and dimension.

This unique high-gain amp in a pedal-format delivers tight, characterful sounds, and it is the perfect combination of real tube tone and 100 watts of power in an unrivaled compact and lightweight format. The A3 provides remodeling presets for 16 different body types/shapes and 28 world-renowned acoustic guitars, allowing you not only to restore the true sound of your guitar but to simulate the tonal characteristics of other instruments as well. In addition, there are 40 onboard DSP effects, each carefully crafted to enrich the tone of acoustic guitar. For ease of use, these are organized into the following categories:

Body and model types
You'll find many popular acoustic guitar bodies and types here, from Dreadnought to Jumbo, from Round Shoulder to Square Shoulder, and from Single Cutaway to Resonator. Also included are emulations of Martin 00 and 000 models, resin-body guitars such as the Ovation Adamas, and both twelve-string and nylon-strings—even upright bass. All A3 models accurately recreate the tonal differences between instruments, down to the bracing and type of wood from which they are made.

Dynamics Effects / Filters
Shape and tame your sound with 10 compressors, equalizers, exciters, and wah effects, along with Zoom's Noise Reduction (ZNR) algorithm, designed to remove noise during pauses while still maintaining your instrument's natural tone.

Modulation
Add the shimmering silkiness of phasing, flanging, chorus, tremolo, vibrato, detuning, and pitch shifting with these 9 effects.

Delay
The A3 provides 5 different kinds of delays, including reverse, multi-tap, and self-oscillating delays.

Reverb
A dozen adjustable rooms, halls, arenas, plates, and springs that allow you to add depth and spaciousness to your sound. The A3's cutting-edge DSP microchip performs 32-bit floating-point calculations, giving it the ability to create sophisticated studio-quality effects such as the realistic simulations found here.

Mic
Three different microphone models: emulations of the popular Shure SM57, AKG C414, and Neumann U87.

Compression evens out volume differences by lowering loud sounds and raising quiet ones. The CS-3's Attack knob lets you set how quickly the circuit makes this adjustment. Turning it clockwise preserves string attacks more strongly and creates a crisper, more percussive sound. The more you turn the knob counterclockwise, the more the signal peaks are reduced. The sustain knob controls the strength of the compression and ensures a tight sound and natural sustain without distortion.
The CS-3 is based on a powerful VCA circuit that provides stable and consistent compression with minimal noise. With its characteristic balanced response and compression characteristics, the pedal delivers transparent sound across all playing styles. Whether crisp country licks, powerful power chords, or singing solos, the CS-3 is an indispensable tool for better sound.
The tone control makes the CS-3 even more versatile. It lets you control the EQ of the compressed signal. Stronger settings emphasize the high frequencies and create a sharper, more cutting sound—perfect for crystal-clear arpeggios, funky rhythms, and passages that need to stand out. The more you turn the control back, the softer the highs become, creating a warm, softer sound that is particularly suitable for genres such as jazz and neo soul. Whether you need an extra dose of bite or velvet, the CS-3 lets you flexibly adapt your sound to your music.

I know that Universal Audio did a good job of capturing the spirit of an AC30 in the UAFX Ruby ’63 amp emulation, because excitement is the first thing I felt. The Ruby ’63 is lively, explosive, reactive, clear, and, yeah, even pretty chimey. And I was very impressed at how it imparted those qualities to decidedly non-Vox-y black-panel Fender amps, and vintage Fender cabinet emulations in UA’s OX Amp emulator. You know how a lot of pedals claiming to be an amp-in-a-box tend to be vaguely similar in terms of EQ and gain structure, but miss the details? The Ruby ’63 is not that. It’s an exhaustively executed emulation that takes you several miles further down the road to true amp-ness. And it sounds and feels awfully close to the real thing.
