This utility stompbox is a complex multi-voice pitch-shifting synthesizer and digital distortion pedal. Its specialized three-voice architecture takes design inspiration from the classic Schumann Electronics PLL and EarthQuaker Devices Data Corrupter circuits. At its foundation, a high-gain digital fuzz voice utilizing hex inverters shapes the input signal into an aggressive square wave. A rotary-controlled sub-octave voice generates deep glitchy textures tracking down to negative three octaves, while a dedicated phase-locked loop (PLL) synthesizer generates erratic tracking harmonies up to positive three octaves. Der DoomLord verfügt über einen Schalter zum Umschalten zwischen Normal- und Bright-Kanal und einen weiteren Schalter, um beide Kanäle miteinander zu verbinden, anstatt wie beim Originalverstärker über 5 Eingangsbuchsen zu verfügen.

Die Hauptfunktion dieses Pedals besteht darin, Ihrem Signal jede Menge satte Subbässe hinzuzufügen. Abgesehen von den reizvollen subharmonischen Anteilen, die es erzeugt, eignet es sich auch hervorragend zum Formen Ihrer Mitten. Es eignet sich hervorragend zum Anheben oder Absenken, lässt die dumpfen Frequenzen klugerweise unberührt und verleiht Ihrem Signal Wärme, wenn Sie es anheben, oder Aggressivität, wenn Sie es absenken.

Wenn Sie einen RAT oder Muff (oder Ihren Lieblings-Distortion-/Boost-/Drive-Effekt) davor schalten, klingt es wahnsinnig gut! Klingt auch mit einem Whammy oder einem anderen Oktavpedal umwerfend, und selbst ein Clean Boost versetzt es in sanfte, cremige Ekstase. Es reinigt bemerkenswert gut und erzeugt von sich aus einen schönen, bluesigen Overdrive, wenn man es aufdreht.

The DoomLord features a switch to change between Normal and Bright channel, and another switch to bridge both of the channels together, instead of 5x input jacks like the original amp.

The main thing this pedal does is it adds TONS of luscious Sub Bass to your signal. Aside from the delightful sub-harmonic content it generates, it really excels at sculpting your mids too. Great for boosting or cutting, it wisely leaves the muddy frequencies alone and gives your signal warmth when you boost or aggression when you cut.

If you put a RAT or Muff (or your favourite distortion / boost / drive) in front of it - it will sound insane!! Sounds killer with a whammy or any other octave pedal too, Hell, even a clean boost will drive it into smooth creamy ecstasy. It cleans up remarkably well and produces a nice fuzzy, bluesy overdrive on it's own when you crank it up.

Well… that’s a lie. But it’s a completely fucking nuts pedal. It’s perfect for harsh noise and bringing total fucking chaos. You get the idea – it sounds INSANE.

If you crank up every control to maximum it “should” work as a high gain fuzz pedal. But it does so much more. When you start to turn the controls down crazy things will happen.
