The Fender Pugilist V2 Distortion is a versatile dual-engine dirt pedal designed to offer a wide spectrum of customizable saturation within a single chassis. It features two fully independent, original Fender-designed analog distortion circuits, each equipped with its own dedicated Gain, Tone, and Level controls along with an individual footswitch. Engine A is finely voiced to deliver bright, articulate, and treble-rich lead tones, while Engine B provides a significantly thicker, heavier saturation suitable for powerful rhythm sections. The internal magic relies on a flexible three-position Path routing switch that lets musicians run the independent gain engines side by side in Parallel Mode to blend clarity with chunk, or stack them together across two distinct Series Modes for cascading multi-channel amplifier distortion. Additional player-focused conveniences include global toggle switches for an overall Bass Boost or Mid Cut, a switchable true or buffered bypass selector on the rear panel, and highly responsive multiswitch-enabled footswitches that intuitively support both traditional latching and momentary operations.
