The Centavo is an accurate recreation of one of the most unattainable overdrive pedals in guitar history. Known by its lauded boost and overdriven tones, the craze for this uber-popular pedal continues today. With prices soaring into unthinkable prices for a three-knob overdrive, it’s no wonder that guitar players like Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, John Mayer, and Josh Homme have found all the mythical magic of the original pedals to be worth the hype. Centavo is a true-to-original overdrive pedal that authentically recreates the experience and adored tones of the original, legendary box.

What exactly does the Ultrawave Multiband Bass Processor do? Initially, the incoming bass signal is divided into different frequency bands. You can choose between 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 or 10 bands specially chosen for the bass. There are a total of 37 different options for combining different frequencies. In the next step, the different frequencies can be assigned different effects. On board are 44 different distortion/overdrive/fuzz effects, a dual-channel compressor, a multi-band tremolo and a graphic 8-band EQ. Everything is controlled via a Neuro Desktop Editor (Mac and Windows) or the mobile app (iOS and Android). The sounds are loaded onto the pedal via USB and can be called up there as presets and further processed with the controls.

To develop such a complex pedal requires a lot of know-how. The American company Source Audio, founded in 2005, has more than enough of them. Their innovative products have been setting the standards in the field of digital effects for years! It is not without reason that greats like David Gilmour, U2, David Bowie, John Mayer, Aerosmith, Phish, King Crimson, My Morning Jacket, The Cure and Victor Wooten trust the pedals of the Californians.

One reason for the company's success is definitely the willingness to work directly with the musicians. The Ultrawave Multiband Bass Processor was developed together with bassist Nathan Navarro , who is one of the most sought-after musicians in the prog rock scene and is also a big star on YouTube. The world of effects has long been his passion and his distinctive sounds are in demand around the world in the studio and on stage.

The JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp is a faithful replication of the first version ("Big Box V1") of DOD's most loved pedal, the Overdrive / Preamp (250). The controls are simple. The Level control adjusts the overall output of the circuit and lets you cut or boost the signal. The Level control of this version has been modified (corrected) from the original wiring, giving this pedal much more volume on tap. The Gain control adjusts the amount of gain inside the overdrive circuit. Turning up the Gain control creates more clipping as it pushes the op-amp and hard clipping into overdrive. JHS Pedals also added a slider switch, which wasn't included with the original DOD 250. While researching the original pedal, JHS Pedals acquired a second early big-box unit which used a completely different clipping arrangement, so they decided to offer this switch so that you could explore these two variations for yourself. The JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp features more gain / grit overall and more unique low / mids than the later versions of the DOD 250.

I love a good fuzz pedal. There’s just something about how they transform your guitar's sound, and each one does it in its own way. A Fuzz Face has that fat lead tone that responds to every touch. The Tone Bender circuit took things a stage further (literally) and added even more grunt. The “Big Muff” style circuit is a legendary successor to both of these. The Wampler Velvet Fuzz was one of my early takes on an improved fuzz circuit but with a twist - it was designed to be easy to dial in for folk who just didn’t get on with regular fuzz pedals.

Cryptid Fuzz

We took the base tones from a very famous Wampler Pedal (one that has the characteristics of a famous stacked, EL34 driven, amp) and decided this was the best foundation to build the perfect fuzz and deliver it in a unit that sounds as good as it feels powerful.

With two completely different clipping options (not just the basic silicon or germanium option like most) you can achieve those classic fuzz big tones that compresses massively across the bottom or you can tighten them up and have it respond more like a distortion. With this you get all of the tone with none of the side effects. Some people say it sounds like a fuzz but feels like a distortion, so yes, you CAN have the best of both worlds.

The Jeff is a special pedal for those seeking the ultimate Klone. Don’t take our word for it though. A certain “Freeway Jam” guitarist replaced his gold Centaur for this one!

The Jeff is an exact tribute to that legendary pedal. Featuring NOS germanium diodes and a few other internal tweaks the Jeff is the Klone to end all pedals

Compared to the Archer and iKon this pedal combines the elements of both pedals into a true 1:1 pedal.

The MXR Dookie Drive Pedal captures the tones of those amps in a single pedal so that you can dial in your own variations of that famous Dookie sound. We borrowed his amps so that the MXR team could carefully analyze all the sonic qualities that make them sound so darn good. After much analysis and A/B testing, our engineers rebuilt the amps from scratch in pedal circuit form and fit them into a single housing. The High Gain and Crunch Gain sections each have their own controls, while the Blend control allows you to mix them together just like Green Day did in the studio. If you want some extra scoop in the midrange of the overall output signal, just hit the Scoop switch.

The MXR Dookie Drive Pedal isn’t just for Green Day fans—it’s a totally unique pedal that provides a full harmonic range of overdriven tones for a playing experience that is full of depth and dimension. This special edition features an all-new finish to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dookie’s monumental release in 1994.

The Phenom Distortion is a dynamic distortion pedal which uses JFET based clipping instead of Op-amp and Diode based clipping and is loosely based on the legendary “5150” style tones. The fets are driven much in the same way that tubes can be cranked to overdrive an Amplifier into a distorted sound courtesy of a unique Brian Wampler circuit design. The Phenom offers a range of tones from a deep, punchy rhythm sound to an ultra-responsive lead tone perfect for soaring solos and crisp harmonics. It has a flexible voicing switch that selects either bright or classic modes, independent gain and volume controls, and a powerful 3-band EQ.

Way back in 1976, the first commercially available chorus pedal was released. The massive tank-like piece of hardware is still touted by many guitarists as the finest chorus ever crafted due to its thick, watery, and rippling chorus (and vibrato) tones. The UAFX Brigade is Universal Audio’s ultra-precise sonic tribute to that long-discontinued pedal, sporting an immaculate bucket brigade chorus/vibrato digital emulation that builds off of UA’s modern-classic Astra Modulation Machine algorithms. However, unlike the pedal of Brigade’s inspiration (or even the Astra), this pedal comes equipped with a supremely straightforward setup of three simple knobs and a 2-way switch to swap between chorus and vibrato. Furthermore, the Brigade features spot-on modeling of an analog preamp modeling section to impart your signal with a touch of old-school character and potent vintage-style punch. Capture the chorus tone that started it all with Universal Audio’s UAFX Brigade!

The One Control Stone Bramble Overdrive is another 'flavor' that has descended from the original and successful Strawberry Red Overdrive pedal from One Control. The Stone Bramble extends the original design with a little bit more sparkle and shimmer and a switchable mid-boost function that can accentuate the upper mids in just the right way. Without the mid-boost, the pedal creates a more cutting and 'edgy' overdrive tone.
