The MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe is powered by pure analog bucket-brigade technology, serving up shimmering, liquid chorus and swooshing, metallic flanger effects while preserving the punch and fundamental of your low end.

The Bass Chorus Deluxe features top-mounted Flanger and X-Over buttons with LED status indicators. In X-Over Mode, modulation in low frequencies is decreased at 100Hz—perfect for playing upper register chords, melodies and fills while keeping the low end in tune. With Bass and Treble controls you can cut or boost lows and highs and shape the tonal character of the effect. For a wide stereo sound, select the TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) Stereo Hardwire Bypass Mode via an internal switch. In this mode, you can use a TRS to TS (tip-sleeve) Y-splitter cable to send the effect signal to two different amplifiers, allowing the modulation to move from left to right.

The Octamizer is an analog octave divider that creates a wide range of musical sounds an octave below your original note.
The Octamizer features independent volume controls for both the Clean and Octave sounds, so dialing in the exact amount of each is a cinch. The two discrete signal paths also have their own tone controls that were specifically designed to enhance and expand their musical possibilities.

Iconic Aguilar circuitry gets a fresh new look!

The Filter Twin® uses two identical filters sweeping in opposite directions – one up in frequency, one down in frequency – to give classic 70’s-inspired funk sounds or completely new and original filter tones. Two filters sweeping at the same time give you a more organic, vocal quality and allows you to get expressive new sounds that you can’t get from other pedals.

The Filter Twin® offers unique filter effects via an intuitive four-knob layout. The BLEND control allows you to adjust the mix between the filters. The THRESHOLD control determines how sensitive the unit is to different playing styles. The VELOCITY controls determine the speed of each filter.

Based on the same concept and features as the flagship ES-8, the ES-5 is pared down to offer more practical and essential use options for typical guitarists and bassists, and is drastically reduced in size to fit ready-made, standard-size boards. The innovation in creativity of pedalboard systems made possible by the ES-8 has become more available and affordable. Expand your board just by one size and incorporate the ES-5, then you are in for a whole new world of musical expression, not just another utility tool. From this day on, the use of stompboxes will never be the same.

The MXR M287 Sub Octave Bass Fuzz is a true colossus among bass effect units and impresses with a bloodcurdling sound that makes the walls tremble. The octaver, whose circuit is based on the growl section of the popular MCR Bass Octave Deluxe, adds an octave below the played tone for a powerful low-end punch. In addition, the integrated fuzz not only offers a 2-band tone control for bass and treble, but also two voices. While the first voicing delivers a warm, gently compressive sound, the second is convincing with its brighter and more aggressive sound development. To ensure that the natural character of the bass used and the definition of the tone are not lost, the dry signal can also be mixed in continuously, with the separate mid-range control providing an increased punch if required.

The EHX Bass Micro Synthesizer is a pure bass guitar synthesizer with all analog circuitry. Adjustable synth parameters deliver fat, sweet tones from another world.

Its voice mix section lets you bring in 4 different voices: Sub Octave, Guitar, Octave, and Square Wave. The Square Wave gives the Bass Micro Snythesizer its signature, fuzzy growl that calls back to the cosmic ’70s .

An Attack Decay control creates bowed effects or ominous volume swells while the Filter Sweep section sweeps through the full frequency spectrum for sound from quick high to low chops and slow low to high blooms.

Much more than just a direct box, the SansAmp Bass Driver DI is capable of dialing up big vintage tube tones, bright modern slap sounds, gnarly distortions, and all in between. Three different outputs to drive power amps, recording desks, PA mixers, or simply enhance your current rig. Controls include Presence for definition and upper harmonic content; Blend to combine the proportion of direct signal and SansAmp circuitry; and active EQ specifically tuned for bass with 12dB of cut or boost.

With the popularity of 5- and 6-string basses going beyond fad status and becoming mainstream, we added a switch to adjust the bass frequency to extend into those lower registers. We also added a mid-range control and a switch to adjust its frequency. The core of the SansAmp Bass Driver and all of its tones remain true to its original design.

The JHS Kilt V2 still has the fantastic circuit of the version one, but with super low noise, improved slew rate for a smoother structure and a character that just feels better than the original Expandora. The Cut/Flat toggle switch gives the option to cut the low end frequencies or to have a more beefier sound than the original Expandora and the G1 and G2 toggles let you select various forms of distortion, from light transparent drive all the way to a wall of fuzz/distortion and everything found in-between. Also, the V2 has the ability to switch the G2 toggle with the Red Remote footswitch giving you the opportunity to flip into heavy overdrive or fuzz with a footswitch on the fly!

I already own most of these pedals, so I'll only talk about the ones I don't yet have and the hypotheses regarding the problems I've noticed in my tests. Lately, I've been testing the use of two channels on the bass. One for the DI signal, focusing on the low frequencies, but depending on the bass or the intended use, taking advantage of the attack and clarity of the DI tone. Another channel for the processed signal, amplifier simulation, drive, modulation, ambience, etc. But, in this case, I added some pedals that I feel are missing and I think they would solve some things I'm lacking. I'm still not sure if some would work with this two-channel technique, especially the OC-2 and the bass micro synth. By the way, the tests I've been doing were with a fully customized jazz bass, with a cedar body and light-colored fretboard. This bass has a closed tone, especially when I use only one of the two pickups, which led me to some tones more geared towards classic rock. I still intend to do tests with my other bass, which I call the "Brazilian Spector," which bears some resemblance to a Spector (hence the name), and has a slightly more modern design.
Currently, I've been using the Soundcraft Ui24r amplifier simulations for the DI channel, without the cabinet simulation, because all its simulations are terrible, in addition to the equalization and compression, mainly to make the bass more uniform and full-bodied.
The reason I'm testing this technique is the videos of the Swedish producer Kristian Kohle and the fact that I'm not entirely satisfied with the results I've been getting using only the B3n.
In those videos, he uses an optical compressor for the bass sidechain, so I thought of the UtopiaFX LASAtronix, which is based on the LA-2A. Returning to the DI sidechain signal chain, the OC-2 (later I switched to the vintage bass octave) still leaves me with some doubts, as my goal with this pedal is to obtain that classic octave tone (direct + octave down), to have a clean octave. Considering that I am using a 350Hz HPF on the processed channel, which makes the sound spectrum smaller, and since I am not using any LPF on the DI channel, the best way to use the OC-2 would be only with the OCT1 or with the OCT1 + direct signal? The MS-60b would be for some processed clean tones that can work well with a distorted signal. And finally, the Di 1975 is a Brazilian DI with Rupert Neve quality level, fight me. Well, that's all about the DI/bass sidechain.

Moving on to the processed sidechain, I'd like to add a high-end compressor, like the Origin Effects Cali76 bass compressor, but since I'm broke, let's go with DemonFX. The bass microsynth raises similar questions for me as I did for the OC-2. Considering that this pedal will be the fuzz+octaver, which is how this pedal is used in British gospel pop rock, aka "worship," I have no idea where this pedal should go in the signal chain—whether in the Hi sidechain, the Lo sidechain, or both, idk. Moving on to the portal, I noticed in my tests that, although I already see a clean signal in parallel with the drives, I can't get the tone of a blended drive, since the clean sidechain is equalized focusing on the bass, so the high frequencies can't "jump" to the point of being at the same volume as the high frequencies of the distorted signal. So, to avoid having to mix every time I use the drive, the Portal pedal solves that (something important to mention is that in my tests, I've adjusted the drive volume so that when I turn it on, the volume doesn't change, which is the standard way to adjust a drive volume. I could even try lowering the drive volume, but that's more about the sound spectrum and the type of signal than volume). Moving on to the NY Bass Preamp, it's a Brazilian version of the Aguilar Tone Hammer, at least I think so. I chose this pedal just to get closer to that "worship" tone, closer, because they only use one channel for the bass, so I'll get a different result. Finally, the Colour Box solves the need to sculpt the tone coming from the B3n. I won't mention the reasons for this here and how I find this multi-effect limited and a wasted potential, because this text is already huge. I've already done some tests adding another equalization stage and obtained very satisfactory results, seeing why several bass players have used a high-end preamp/EQ, like the Colour Box, Noble DI, etc. Just don't ask me how I did those tests. And that's it, thank you for reading and I hope this has inspired you, God bless you.

The 1975 is a direct box designed for studio and stage use, offering a unique and special sound.
Its active circuit performs balancing through an output transformer, developed by us. It uses a nickel core and Mu-Metal shielding, responsible for adding a characteristic 70s coloration – hence the name.
The electronic design features intelligent circuitry that converts the instrument signal into a signal compatible with various microphone preamps. This allows its use in combination with different preamps, resulting in variations in sound.
The 1975 has an instrument input capable of adapting to different signal levels, whether from a vintage passive bass or a modern active bass. The circuit performs impedance conversion while maintaining the integrity of the original sound, thanks to the internal buffer with high-quality matched transistors.
Our active circuit also enables a simultaneous output, called "line out," which allows connection to amplifiers while using the balanced XLR output. The signal at both outputs remains intact, without loss or unwanted color changes.
We opted to develop a dedicated filter to eliminate unwanted signals, such as interference and ground loop problems, eliminating the need for the "ground lift" switch. This filter acts exclusively on the circuit's grounding, without interfering with the audio signal.
This is a project we've always wanted to undertake. It's extremely versatile and aligned with the sound concept that we at Analog Heroes are proud to share with you.

The Cali76 Compact Bass is a studio-quality FET compressor inspired by the classic 1176, designed specifically for bass players. It retains everything that made the original Cali76 so highly regarded, while adding bass-focused enhancements and packaging it into a compact, pedalboard-friendly format.
A single, combined Attack/Release control offers a smooth and practical range of settings, carefully designed to avoid problematic combinations that could introduce unwanted distortion, especially in the low end.
Alongside its low-noise design and fast, musical FET response, the Cali76 Compact Bass stands out thanks to two key features that set it apart from other compressors. The first is the Dry Blend control, which allows you to mix your uncompressed signal back in with the compressed one. This parallel compression technique, widely used in professional studios, delivers the signature punch and thickness of 1176-style compression while preserving the natural attack and dynamics of your playing. The result is exceptionally transparent compression that is both powerful and articulate.
The second standout feature comes straight from studio engineering practice. A variable-frequency high-pass filter in the sidechain lets you control how much compression is applied to the lowest frequencies. With the HPF engaged, compression becomes frequency-dependent: the low strings remain full, weighty, and dynamic, while the higher strings stay tightly controlled. This prevents aggressive slap or pop notes from jumping out of the mix. In essence, this bass compressor feels like having a dedicated studio engineer built into your pedalboard.
