Das Damnation Audio Bass Fuzz Enforcer ist ein High-Gain-Effektpedal, das speziell dafür entwickelt wurde, einen massiven „Wall-of-Sound“-Fuzz zu liefern und gleichzeitig die für den Bass essenzielle Definition im Tieftonbereich zu bewahren. Basierend auf einer klassischen vierstufigen Muff-Schaltung wurde es erheblich verfeinert, um den „matschigen“ oder „dünnen“ Klang zu vermeiden, der oft auftritt, wenn Standard-Gitarren-Fuzz-Pedale am Bass verwendet werden. Das Design nutzt eine spezifische Eingangs-Limitierung, um das Signal straff zu halten, sowie einen „Tilt“-EQ-Regler, der auf bassfreundliche Frequenzmitten abgestimmt ist. Ein herausragendes Merkmal ist der integrierte parallele Tiefpass-Clean-Blend, der es ermöglicht, das natürliche, unbeeinflusste Low-End für maximalen Punch und Klarheit beizumischen. Dieses Pedal stellt eine moderne, nützliche Weiterentwicklung klassischer gesättigter Texturen dar und liefert eine gnadenlose Verzerrung, die in einem dichten Bandmix artikuliert bleibt.

This is a classic 4-stage hand warmer fuzz design. We didn't aim to break any ground. We just wanted to make a thick punishing bass fuzz. When designing the amazing Pet Symmetry "BIG" fuzz we auditioned a lot of sounds and I squirreled a few away in my diary.

The recipe is simple. Limit bass on the way in. Expand it on the way out. Design a tilt-control that pivots on bass-friendly frequencies. Add a parallel low-passed clean blend. Not because you need extra lows but sometimes you want a reminder of what your clean sound used to be before it elevated into a square wave.

Bass Fuzz Enforcer

New for Winter 2019 (and beyond!!!)  The MBD-2 is the long awaited follow up to our successful MBD-1 MOSFET Bass Distortion.  The heart of the MBD-2 is the same bass loving distortion as the original but with a few enhancements customers have begged for (and up until recently we’ve looked down from our high horse and said, “No”).

Those enhancements include: a smaller enclosure (with top-jacks of course!!!), an external boost switch capable of adding 20dB of gain to transport the internal MOSFETs into valhala, silent bypass switching for quiet stages (what are those???), and of course a sexy new look.  This compact evolution of the MBD-1 can fit on smaller boards so you no longer have to decide between crushing bass distortion and your Altoids tin.

Der Curmudgeon ist ein Solid State Power Amp (Lead Sled) Distortion, der das Eingangssignal mit 1000 multipliziert und in eine simulierte Endstufe schickt. Diese simulierte Endstufe verfügt über parallele Stufen, die gerade so weit heruntergemischt und belastet werden, dass sie kaum noch atmen können. So erhältst du mehrere Stufen von Solid-State-Verstärkerfärbung und Verzerrung. Ein einfacher Tone-Regler lässt gerade genug hohe Frequenzen einfließen, um sich in einem dichten Mix durchzusetzen (nicht, dass du nicht schon den dicksten Ton auf der Bühne hättest).

The Curmudgeon is a solid state power amp (lead sled) distortion that takes your incoming signal, multiplies it by 1000, and slams it into a simulated power amp. This simulated power amp features parallel stages that are mixed and loaded down just enough for them to struggle to breathe. This gives you multiple stages of solid state amp coloration and distortion. A simple tone control lets in just enough high frequency to help you cut-through in a dense mix (not that you won’t already have the thickest tone on stage).
