Die Pitch Fork von Electro Harmonix in unserem aktuellen bonedo-Test beweist einmal mehr, dass auch Pitch-Shifter Effektpedale inzwischen für jedes Budget erschwinglich sind. Dieser Effekt, der in den Achtzigern in einigen berühmten Gitarrenaufnahmen auftauchte, war damals für uns “normale” Musiker kaum erschwinglich. Aber diese Zeiten haben sich glücklicherweise geändert. Pitch-Effekte sind inzwischen im Effektangebot vieler Hersteller zu recht günstigen Kursen zu finden.

The EHX Pitch Fork transposes an instrument’s pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

Dieses Pedal wurde ursprünglich für J. Mascis entwickelt. Er wollte zwei Box of Rock™-Pedale in einer Box mit zwei Stomp-Switches. Er benutzt es jetzt regelmäßig, aber wir haben bei der Version, die wir der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich machen, noch eins (oder zwei) besser gemacht... wir haben es so gestaltet, dass man die Subfrequenzen einstellen kann (wie beim Distortron) und dass man jeden Kanal in einen Super Hard-On™ umwandeln kann. Auf diese Weise kannst du das Pedal als zwei kaskadierte Distortrons, zwei kaskadierte Super Hard-Ons (wie ein Super Duper 2-in-1), oder eine Box of Rock mit Boost oder einen Super Hard-On in eine Box of Rock konfigurieren. Distortion/Boost-Himmel!

This pedal was originally designed for J.Mascis. He requested two Box of Rock™ pedals in one box with two stomp switches. He uses it regularly now, but we did one (or two) better with the one we’re releasing to the public... we made it so you can adjust the sub frequencies (like the Distortron), and you can convert either channel to a Super Hard-On™. In this way, you can configure the pedal to be two Distortrons cascaded, two Super Hard-Ons cascaded (like a Super Duper 2-in-1), or a Box of Rock with boost, or a Super Hard-On going into a Box of Rock. Distortion/boost heaven!

That's why we at Dunlop worked with Joe to develop the Joe Bonamassa Signature Cry Baby, specially engineered to fit in perfectly with Joe's system, from the way it looks to the way it sounds. On the outside, it sports a classy copper top with a smooth-finish black body. On the inside, it features large, vintage-style thru-hole components, a Halo inductor (for added harmonic content), an output buffer (to prevent impedance imbalance with vintage fuzz pedals), and a switch for true-bypass or non-true-bypass operation (Joe prefers non-True Bypass as it darkens the high end). FX33 BUZZ BOX

The Chthonic Fuzz (pronounced: THAH-nik) creates fat, corpulent, fudgy, sludgy, fuzz tones designed to pair perfectly with single-coil, P90, gold-foil, and DeArmond style pickups. It also works great with PAF-style humbuckers, but this fuzz was designed with brighter guitars and bright, clean amps in mind.
