We are extremely pleased to announce the launch of the Belle Epoch +, our first compact delay with full tap tempo capabilities and a slew of other upgrades to our flagship tape echo simulator. Much R&D was implemented to make the Belle Epoch + the best version of itself that it could possibly be. Tapping in a beat couldn’t be easier; simply hold the footswitch to enter tap mode and hold it again to enter tap bypass mode. Apart from the tap tempo circuit, the Belle Epoch + just gives you more, more headroom, a redesigned Mix control, improved buffered bypass, a touch of noise gating and better impedance specs for rig integration. The preamp has been tweaked to provide a higher dynamic range with the same feel and response of the original Echoplex pre, giving you a more hi-fi sparkling tone that you’ve come to expect from the classic circuit. We’ve also expanded the feature set by offering three modes that correspond to wear on the virtual tape, from a pristine “fresh off the line” Echoplex to a dusty unit that’s been sitting in an attic for 40 years. Step into (and onto) the next generation of our classic echo unit!

Our Soft Focus wrote a new volume of all-in-one shoegaze tone, but we’ve gone above and beyond to bring you the final word in shoegaze, the Soft Focus Deluxe. The Deluxe model installs the missing delay function from the original FX500 patch, giving you exacting control over every parameter across six different programs. Dip your toes into a vast array of shoegaze textures and soundscapes with an integrated footswitchable distortion circuit, giving you the option to run it in series with or in parallel with the Soft Focus patch. We’ve also upped the stakes with a multi-function jack capable of expression control or tap tempo. Your shoes will never look the same again.

Ever modest, Catalinbread describes their Tribute Low-gain Overdrive / VariOboost as “a pedal that literally every guitarist needs.” While we get the sense they might be being somewhat facetious, after testing the Tribute out at Sweetwater, we discovered that it’s a stunningly touch-sensitive dirt pedal that’s worthy of a home on any OD fanatic’s board! The Tribute’s all-analog design is modeled after an earlier Catalinbread favorite, the VariOboost, to offer an exceptionally high-headroom drive engine coupled with a one-band parametric EQ for incredible tone-shaping possibilities. From powerful low-end rhythm crunch to sparkly boosted leads on the cusp of breaking up, the Catalinbread Tribute is a uniquely simple-yet-powerful spin on the OD formula.

Our take on the low-gain Marshall sound is not to be taken lightly! Our Clean Little Secret is a low-gain platform that gets gritty in a hurry thanks to a refined approach to this foundational classic, with many of the original’s shortcomings addressed and improved upon.
We’ve conquered the high-gain Marshall amp-in-a-box some time ago, and now our Clean Little Secret takes the classic low-gain Marshall BB formula and gives it a much-needed refinement. We’ve beefed up everything from the classic amp enhancer, from the tone stack to the output stage and more, giving you just the right amount of kick. A completely overhauled tone section gives you individual control over treble and bass bands as opposed to a global tone knob, and we’ve added some more bells and whistles to push the unity volume level up quite a bit. Our designer’s favorite op-amp keeps the action whistle-clean until you push the gain, giving you delicious edge-of-breakup tones at the end of the dial, but subdued always-on enhancement tones at any other position. Some secrets are better left unkept!

Clean Little Secret

(Shoutout an Tony Hawk's Pro Skater).

The Topanga Burnside has all the springy, surfy mojo of the original Topanga but now features a Trem knob that controls the rate of a lush tremolo effect. We revisited the original Topanga and found that placing the tremolo between cascading reverb stages yielded the best results––the effect is not too choppy; not too washed out. Many surf rock and skate punk bands use spring reverb, tremolo or both simultaneously in order to get their sounds, and the Topanga Burnside is a nod to them.
