Under construction. So far it was always on DIY boards (plywood board, even one in a keyboard case)

- Everything that needs to be operated (not just switched, this would be done using the ES-8) during a song is in front (wah, volume, expression, flanger, looper and the switcher of course)

- Volume pedal 1 controls input volume, since I don't feel comfort with controlling the volume with the knob on the guitar (question is how to deal with pedals that like most direct contact to the guitar; ES-8 has the option to put buffers everywhere before or behind a loop, so I hope I will find the perfect setting)

- Volume pedal 2 controls overall volume into the amp (mine is a very clean one, so it does not affect overdrive that much)

- All pedals go into the ES-8. Since it has only 8 loops, I have to group pedals that I will never switch during a song, so I would not have to stomp on them. Modulation is one group (Small Stone, Zero Point, Nuvibe), overdrive is another (Tube Driver, Zendrive; ok, maybe I would sometimes stack them), Delay is a third (Echorec, Belle Epoch)

- Loop 8 of the ES-8 goes to a multi effect (Roland GP-16), that's what the EV-5 is used for

- Polytune 3 gets its signal from ES-8

- Ditto+ at the end of course

- Not sure if I really need the Quad Box. And if so it's
maybe not necessary to put it on the board

Boonar™ is an effects pedal precisely designed to deliver sound and feel of the legendary Binson Echorec, a multi-tap magnetic drum echo unit. Everything is in there and more: from thick, juicy tube tone, glorious multi-dimensional echo repeats melted with haunting reverb decays, variable delay time up to a full second and separate playback heads switching system to an amazing and distinctive external looks dominated by a gold finish and green pulsating "magic-eye" level indicator, all packed in an incredibly compact stompbox form.

Boonar shares the same analog signal path as original Echorec but we used high voltage driven FETs as tube emulators and replaced magnetic memory drum with a DSP unit. We developed a special DSP code that faithfully replicates all the characteristics of the actual Binson memory system that we named a virtual magnetic drum.

Reveal an authentic Binson sound and enjoy in magical echoes of the past!

The design and sound is the same as the original (as supplied to Eric Johnson, David Gilmour, etc) but with improved parts such as Switchcraft all metal jacks, click pots, etc.
Each unit is hand built to my specs and I personally check out each Tube Driver to perfection. Then I engrave my signature on the bottom of the case. This insures authenticity now and in the future!

The Binson Echorec was so cool we had no choice but to bring it back. And we wanted to bring it back right. We wanted to take all the goodness of that huge Binson Echorec and squeeze it down into a standard sized stompbox without losing anything. In fact, in addition to not losing any of the qualities that made it such a compelling musical device, we wanted to EXTEND its capabilities because the original Binson hinted at possibilities that it couldn’t realize. We’re talking about variable delay time! We thought, “What if we had the same four playback head concept but could stretch the delay time out beyond the 300mS of the original Binson?” Then the rhythmic patterns suggested by the various combinations of those four playback heads could really come to life!

It’s uncertain what exactly the origin of flanging was. It could have been the result of trying to push the boundaries of multitrack recording, probably due to running a couple tape machines in parallel but not quite in sync… Maybe a guy messing around in the studio brushed up against a take-up reel flange accidentally? Maybe that guy was Les Paul, maybe it was John Lennon and George Martin? It is unclear. But, what is clear is that the mechanical studio method of achieving the effect became, within a decade, commonplace enough for companies to simulate the effect electronically. The electronic approaches were pretty cool and groundbreaking, but by the 80s became tired and worn out. At Catalinbread we attribute this to the fact that these units controlled the flange effect using an LFO that went up and down at a predictable rate taking the life and freshness out of the effect. When we decided to design a flanger, we knew we would approach it the way they originally did it…

The Catalinbread Belle Epoch Tape Echo, has tape echo sounds so authentic you’d swear there was tape inside the pedal! Inspired by the Maestro Echoplex, EP-3 model, perhaps the most famous tape delay ever, the Belle Epoch features everything we love about the EP-3 in a small, maintenance free pedal format. We felt that a “tape echo” pedal was much more than just a standard digital delay with some “filtering” on the repeats. There are a lot of subtle and not-so-subtle traits of the Echoplex that needed to be implemented in order to be authentic. The preamp, the self-oscillation character, the ability to control the “record level” of the signal hitting “tape”, the wow and flutter, the way the repeats decay, the way the circuit interfaces with the amp and other pedals – all these things were important to get right. The original unit was used as a musical instrument unto itself and this is what we captured with the Belle Epoch.

Housed in a rugged military-style black sheet metal chassis, the analog phase shifter recreates the warm modulation of classic 1970s OTA-based filtering. Signal modulation is driven by a four-stage operational transconductance amplifier circuit producing thick, swirling sweeps and dynamic movement. Sweep speed is controlled continuously via a single large Rate potentiometer across slow swells to rapid watery warbles. Frequency emphasis and resonance are shifted using a dedicated two-position Color toggle switch to add pronounced upper-midrange feedback. Distinct Russian manufacturing characteristics provide a gritty, warm harmonic character across the modulation sweep compared to USA production versions. Hardwire buffered bypass switching maintains basic signal path continuity across connected amplifiers when disengaged.

Loved by guitarists for decades, it's a Japanese made modulation-type effect unit that made a blazing debut at the Woodstock festival; you already know the one we're talking about. The inimitable sound of this distinctive modulation effect has captivated numerous guitarists and audiences.
Yet, because only a very small number of the original units exist, and because the circuit itself was not accurately understood and its components were difficult to obtain, it was rare to have the opportunity to try out the unit that produced these famous sounds. Such factors elevated the original to a semi-divine status. Numerous clone models were produced by major manufacturers and boutique shops alike, but all of these remain facsimiles that are pale imitations of the original model.
Now, this legendary classic has been reborn under the ideal circumstances of the original engineer's supervision. Starting with original circuits that simulate hard-to-obtain parts, the distinctive modulation sound has been perfectly reproduced. Not content with a simple reproduction, new WAVE sliders have been added, allowing original waveforms to be generated.
This highly sought after pedal with a long history of allure is now unveiled in its new incarnation: the Nuvibe

The BSM OR model is based on the Orange Treble & Bass booster made in the late 60's in England. The OR model includes a tone control which allows an extraoridinary amount of versatility. When set to maximum, the unit produces a very glassy tone. When a middle setting is dialed in, the result is a punchy tone with a mids emphasis. When set to minimum, the unit produces a very bassy tone with a fat bottom end. The long yearned new edition, now issued under the name OR from BSM, includes the same germanium transistors as the original 1960's version.

It was during the 1960s when the original model first appeared. Its origin is so uncertain that even the people who were involved at that time are not sure of the circumstances through which this model went out into the world. What is clear is that in 1969, a legendary guitarist used it in a historic performance, drawing the attention of guitarists all around the world.

Now for more than half a century, it has reigned as a great effect unit. This enigmatic classic in the history of effect devices has been reborn under the ideal conditions of the supervision of the original developer. As on the original model, it provides a switch for selecting either vibrato or chorus, and INTENSITY and SPEED knobs for producing that distinctive effect. The buffer circuit that has such an important impact on the sonic character has been also been newly redesigned by the original designer for the 21st century. And a great bonus: a dedicated expression pedal is also included.

The Detour, which I built myself using parts from the supplier "Das Musikding", is a switch that swaps the input and output. It is connected in front of a wah pedal so that you can switch back and forth between normal wiring and the reverse wiring. If you plug the guitar into the output of a wah pedal and route the input to the amp (or other pedals), depending on the choice of pickup, you will hear a shrill squeak, the onset and frequency of which can be controlled using the controls on a Stratocaster guitar. This so-called Seagull effect (because of its similarity to the cry of a seagull) was discovered by David Gilmour accidentally through accidental miswiring and used in several Pink Floyd songs, most notably in the track Echoes.

Equipped with true bypass switching, the pedal is housed in a durable metal chassis designed to save space on crowded pedalboards. It requires an external direct current power adapter and cannot be operated using internal batteries.

The Nano Big Muff Pi 2 is a compact analog fuzz effect that revives a previously unreleased dual op-amp fuzz circuit. It delivers thick sustain, heavy fuzz, and a rich tonal character that sits between vintage Big Muff sounds and more modern grit. It includes simple controls for Volume, Tone, and Sustain so you can shape output level, EQ, and the amount of distortion and sustain. True bypass switching preserves the clean signal when the pedal is off.

Big Muff Pi 2

The MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay features a completely analog audio path for the ultimate in rich, warm delay-made possible only by old-school bucket brigade technology. This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats)-all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. In addition, two internal trim pots offer user-adjustable width and rate control of the modulation for even more tonal options. The Carbon Copy will take you from crisp “bathroom” slap echoes to epic, Gilmour-esque delays with a twist of a knob. True hardwire bypass, single 9-volt operation, and stage-ready blue LEDs round out the package.
