This five-band op-amp gyrator equalizer effects pedal is designed to replicate the specific frequencies of the classic Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp rack mount graphic equalizer section. It expands on the original specifications by providing eighteen decibels of boost or cut per frequency band rather than twelve decibels. Developed to operate at higher voltages to match the headroom of the original vintage rack circuitry, it handles extremely hot signals effectively when powered up to twenty-four volts. It functions via a completely analog signal path with true bypass switching to ensure baseline tone integrity.

Generating lush four-stage analog phase shifting, the stompbox utilizes an operational transconductance amplifier circuit architecture originally designed by engineer David Cockerell. Modulation velocity is governed by a singular, oversized rotary rate potentiometer that transitions smoothly from gentle ambient sweeps to rapid vibrato-like flutter. Harmonic resonance and tonal emphasis are actively reshaped via a two-position color slide switch that feeds processed audio back through the phase stages. Inverting the feedback path with the color switch engaged introduces a pronounced vowel-like sweep while scooping mid frequencies to emphasize sweeping filter peaks. Vintage circuit execution incorporates dual operational transconductance amplifier integrated circuits alongside a dedicated quad operational amplifier managing low-frequency oscillation. Mechanical footswitching toggles between active modulation and bypass inside a classic folded-steel chassis decorated with orange graphics and lacking a status LED.

This classic analog effects pedal bridges the sonic gap between smooth overdrive and saturated fuzz. Employing a simple hard-clipping circuit architecture, its design relies on a single operational amplifier combined with a pair of germanium clipping diodes. This configuration creates a distinctively warm, textured saturation that responds dynamically to the output volume of an instrument. Intended to preserve the core tone of the amplifier, it functions optimally when pushing the front end of a tube amplifier into natural breakup. The interface features straightforward adjustments, relying on only two physical knobs to manipulate overall output gain and the distortion ratio.

The Yung-Mann Fuzz is an exacting recreation of the vintage Univox Super-Fuzz circuit, specifically modeled after the unit modified by guitar tech Ernie Bailey for Kurt Cobain. It features a simplified control set that removes the original's tone bypass switch, focusing on the raw, aggressive character used during the "In Utero" era. The circuit utilizes vintage-spec germanium diodes to produce a thick, brash fuzz with a strong octave-up harmonic effect. Key controls include Volume and Expander (Gain), with an internal trimpot for fine-tuning the transistor bias to adjust the intensity of the octave rectification. True bypass switching is employed to maintain signal integrity, and the unit is designed to be cranked for unity gain, which typically occurs at higher settings on the dial.

Kurt Cobain had it, Satriani has it, and probably your neighbour too!
The BOSS DS-1 is without a doubt one of the most famous distortion pedals out there.
Since the late ’70s and until today, this little orange pedal offers a compressed, British stack style distortion with an easy control layout – Distortion, Tone and Level.

The BOSS DS-1 is not a subtle pedal but not brutal either, it retains its characteristics with most type of pickups and it is really a great pedal for beginners and pros alike.
Compare this vintage version against the others too hear if you can tell any difference!

The DOD FX45 Stereo Reverb is a rare, vintage analog reverb pedal introduced by DOD in 1985 and discontinued by early 1987. It is notable as the first and only analog reverb pedal produced by the brand, powered by Bucket Brigade Device (BBD) chips rather than digital processing.

Nirvana In Uetro Pedalboard

Based on the preamp circuit of the vintage Fender Quad Reverb amplifier used on Nirvana's In Utero album, the unit delivers classic clean-to-edge-of-breakup tones. Designed in collaboration with Nathan Slade of Sushibox FX, the internal architecture features a real internal JJ 12AX7 vacuum tube running at high plate voltage via an internal SMPS converter. Tone shaping is managed through a traditional three-band Bass, Middle, and Treble equalization stack alongside Volume gain and Master output controls. An integrated 220V source follower output buffer allows the pedal to drive any external power amplifier, effects loop return, or direct recording interface without signal degradation. The circuit provides dynamic touch sensitivity that transitions from pristine clean headroom to a light harmonic crunch when the input drive is pushed. Compact stompbox housing makes it suitable for integration into modern pedalboards, cab simulators, and direct-out live rigs.

The Nerdvana Grime Distortion is an analog distortion pedal designed to recreate the heavy gain and aggressive voicing of the classic DOD Grunge circuit. The pedal produces dense clipping with prominent high and low-frequency emphasis, capturing early-1990s alternative drive tones. It features simple controls to shape output volume, overall EQ balance, and gain saturation. Built in a compact enclosure, it utilizes standard true-bypass switching to preserve dry signal integrity.

This high-gain fuzz pedal is a faithful recreation of the rare vintage Univox Square Wave circuit, famously utilized during the recording sessions for Nirvana's final studio album. It features a unique control scheme where the Balance knob acts as a volume cut—maintaining unity gain at its maximum setting—and the Wave control functions as a frequency-dependent bass cut. Modern enhancements include a specialized modification to reduce the inherent circuit hiss of the original design and the addition of a bypass indicator LED. The pedal utilizes NOS 1960s Germanium clipping diodes to deliver dark, asymmetrical fuzz tones with a gritty, aggressive character. Its compact enclosure features aesthetic nods to the original unit while offering a more rugged construction for contemporary pedalboards. The circuit is specifically voiced to achieve raw, "In Utero" style saturation with minimal tweaking.
